Elsewhere, the Honor of Kings and Arena of Valor tournament continued with group stage action, while the Last Chance Qualifiers concluded for both TEKKEN 8 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
G2 Esports claimed the $250,000 winner’s prize after producing a commanding display in the Warzone Resurgence Series Grand Final, taking over the crown that Twisted Minds won last year.
The champions never looked back as they topped the leaderboard with an impressive 210.4 points, finishing nearly 30 points clear of runners-up T1 on 182.4. JD Gaming completed the podium in third with 181.4 points, underlining just how convincing G2’s victory was.
Defending champions Twisted Minds were unable to retain their title, finishing fourth on 179.2 points and missing out on a place on the podium.
In the Overwatch tournament, Zeta Division secured the $400,000 top prize with an equally impressive run to the title, dethroning defending champions Team Falcons in the process. Zeta Division produced a flawless 3-0 victory over T1 in the semi-finals before capping off their campaign with a 4-2 win against Twisted Minds in the Grand Final to be crowned champions.
T1 bounced back to secure third place with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Weibo Gaming.
For defending champions Team Falcons, it was a tournament to forget as they exited in joint ninth place alongside JD Gaming, VARREL and Virtus.Pro.
The Honor of Kings and Arena of Valor group stage also saw the first teams book their places in the playoffs via the upper bracket. AG.AL progressed from Group A after defeating Team Vitality before overcoming Blacklist International to secure qualification.
In Group C, Kuaishou Gaming also advanced after victories over Revenant Xspark and Virtus.Pro to seal their place in the playoffs.
