Manchester United will visit League Two side Grimsby Town in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
The Red Devils, six-time winners of the competition, will take on Grimsby during the week beginning August 25.Â
Ruben Amorim's side were one of 11 Premier League clubs introduced into the Carabao Cup for the second round, with the remaining nine top-flight outfits all featuring in European tournaments.Â
Indeed, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, holders Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest will all enter the competition in the third round.Â
United have no European competition this campaign for the first time in 11 years, after their dismal 15th-place Premier League finish last term and 1-0 loss to Spurs in the UEFA Europa League final.Â
Elsewhere, fourth tier side Bromley, who beat Ipswich Town on penalties in Tuesday’s first round, will take on League One’s Wycombe Wanderers.
