Every summer, Premier League clubs get busy trying to improve their squads for the upcoming season and that can only mean one thing: transfers everywhere.

The Premier League is now at a point where it can spend more than many other leagues combined and that means a host of new signings for fans to keep track of.

Florian Wirtz – Liverpool

Let us start with the champions and, while we have already seen Florian Wirtz in action on Sunday in the Community Shield, this did nothing to temper our excitement.

In 63 Bundesliga games under Xabi Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen, Wirtz scored 21 times with 25 assists.

He was the star player and the conductor for one of the best attacks in Europe and he seems to have perfectly slotted in at Anfield as their primary playmaker.

Wirtz is going to set the Premier League alight this season, so make sure you are tuning in every time he plays.

Viktor Gyokeres – Arsenal

Arsenal have finished second in each of the past three seasons in the Premier League – five points, two points and 10 points behind the champions. They have also scored six goals, five goals and 17 goals fewer than the champions.

Clearly things were tight, until they were not, last season. Presumably, it is going to help The Gunners considerably to add a forward who scored 97 goals in 102 games for Sporting CP.

Many who have watched Arsenal under Mikel Arteta have wondered what would happen if the team had a truly elite centre-forward. Now it seems they do.

Evann Guessand – Aston Villa

The start of the transfer window was a quiet one for Aston Villa but things are starting to heat up as we get closer and closer to the start of the new season.

At the start of August, Villa brought in Evann Guessand from Nice after the Ivorian scored 12 goals and registered nine assists in Ligue 1 last season.

TNT Sports spoke to our colleague in France, Tanguy Mantovani, at the time and what he had to say had us excited.

"He’s pretty versatile; he mainly plays as a No. 9 but can be used on the wings as well for example," said Mantovani.

"He played a lot on the right side this season and scored most of his goals when doing so. And he plays mostly on the left side with Ivory Coast.

"Physically, he’s got a lot of qualities. He’s as quick as he is powerful. He also has a good technique and likes to carry the ball.

"Last season, he played in a team that presses a lot, so he learned how to be the first defender of the team and can be trusted with that."

You can read everything that Mantovani had to say here, but adding Guessand to an attack already containing Ollie Watkins, Leon Bailey and Morgan Rogers, among others, is a very intriguing proposition.

Maxim De Cuyper – Brighton

Four years ago, Brighton & Hove Albion signed 23-year-old Marc Cucurella from Getafe and a year later they more than trebled their money by selling him to Chelsea.

This summer, Brighton have signed Maxim De Cuyper – who is one year older than Cucurella was – for slightly more money than Cucurella from Club Brugge.

The read on De Cuyper is not dissimilar to Cucurella: namely an energetic full-back who can defend but is happier when higher up the pitch.

De Cuyper is going to be an exciting player and do not be surprised if he makes another big move in a year or two.

Estevao – Chelsea

We could have picked Joao Pedro or Liam Delap but we have already seen them play. And yes, Jamie Gittens looks hugely promising, but all the buzz around Chelsea at the moment is around 18-year-old Estevao.

For those unaware, Estevao has broken most of the scoring and assisting records for a teenager in Brazil that were previously held by Neymar.

Chelsea reportedly received numerous loan offers but have chosen to keep him in the first-team squad.

Estevao is a talented young prospect and Chelsea clearly feel he could be an early contributor, so it is worth keeping an eye on him.

His pre-season debut against Bayer Leverkusen, followed by a game against AC Milan, already have Chelsea fans excited.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – Everton

From a new Chelsea player to an old one. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s sojourn in west London only lasted one year but he ends as a UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup champion.

Many who did not watch Chelsea might dismiss this as Dewsbury-Hall just speed-running the Danny Drinkwater trajectory, but Dewsbury-Hall played some key minutes in important situations and is clearly well-situated to be an advanced No. 8 or No. 10 for a team a rung or two below Chelsea.

Enter Everton. The Toffees are looking for more juice in the middle and it seems perfectly set for Dewsbury-Hall to not only start consistently, but also be a key player.

Do not forget we are just a year removed from him playing a starring role for Leicester City in a promotion-winning season. We are yet to see his best.

Rayan Cherki – Manchester City

"He is one of the greatest technicians in Europe right now. Right foot, left foot, he has got everything."

Those are the words of TNT Sports’ French football expert Julien Laurens when describing Rayan Cherki.

Cherki is electric, his highlight reel utterly absurd. But we said similar when City signed Jack Grealish and that did not work out so smoothly. Will it be different with Cherki? We cannot wait to find out.

Anthony Elanga – Newcastle United

For most Newcastle United fans it has been a frustrating summer transfer window, with the potential departure of Alexander Isak looming.

But they have made a big signing in Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest. Elanga registered six goals and 11 assists in the Premier League last season and should provide a big boost to Newcastle’s attacking output this season.

It is going to be a lot of fun watching him in their attack and you can start on Saturday when they take on Aston Villa, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.

Dan Ndoye – Nottingham Forest

Dan Ndoye is a fascinating player. In one season at Nice, two seasons (and two games) at Basel and one season with Bologna, he scored 10 goals. That is 10 goals across 126 league matches.

Last season, in 30 league games for Bologna, he scored eight goals, with four assists.

So the question is, did the arrival of manager Vincenzo Italiano give Ndoye his last-season wonder? Did Italiano figure out how to unlock Ndoye and take him to the next level?

Forest are betting on the latter and we cannot wait to find out if they are right.

Mohammed Kudus – Tottenham Hotspur

Our final player in this list (there will be more to follow as players are signed) is one who many Premier League fans will already know.

Kudus was brilliant in his first season in England, scoring eight and assisting nine goals as West Ham United secured a top-10 finish in the Premier League.

But last season he, like the club as a whole, took a disappointing step back.

Spurs are betting on a change of scenery to get Kudus back to his best and we think they are going to be right.

As Spurs move into a world now without both Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, Kudus could be their new shining light.
