Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has continued the summer overhaul of his squad with the signing of Norwegian teenager Sverre Nypan. The 18-year-old midfielder has made the move to the Premier League from Norwegian club Rosenborg. After seeing their stranglehold on the Premier League come to a half last season, Guardiola has been making moves to freshen up his squad.

Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Sverre Nypan, with the teenager making the move to the Premier League from Norwegian side Rosenborg.
City are reported to have paid a fee in the region of £12.5 million to get their hands on the midfielder, who has signed a five-year deal at the club.
"I am incredibly happy and proud to have joined Manchester City," Nypan told the club's official website.
"It’s a dream for any young footballer to become part of this club and to join such a group of world-class talent.
"I am still very young with a lot to learn, but the chance to be coached by Pep Guardiola, the best manager in the world, will only help me to become a better player.
"There is already a special connection between Norway and Manchester City through Erling Haaland and Oscar Bobb, and I am very proud to have become the latest Norwegian player to have joined the club."

City director of football Hugo Viana added: "Sverre is an exciting young player that the club has been monitoring for quite some time now.
"We feel that he already has numerous standout qualities but that, at only 18 years of age, he is only going to continue to improve.
"We believe he will be an important asset for Manchester City in the years to come, and we will support him every step of the way in his development."

Pep Guardiola saw his City side relinquish their grip on the Premier League to Liverpool last term, and he has been working on freshening up his squad.
Nypan follows on the heels of the signings of Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders and Marcus Bettinelli.
The 18-year-old has been a hot property in Norwegian football for some. Reports in Norway in 2024 linked Nypan with Manchester United, but he will be donning the colours of their rivals in the future.
City will kick off their Premier League season at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, August 16.
Their first home league game is against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, July 23, a game that will be shown live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
City will start their latest UEFA Champions League campaign in September, as they bid to win the tournament again following their 2023 triumph.
