Chelsea weigh up Garnacho bid
Chelsea are keen on signing Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, after they rejected a £40 million bid from Napoli.
Another option for the Blues would be Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi.
The Mirror reports: "Chelsea have launched a push to sign Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho.
"Garnacho appears to be free to leave Old Trafford, though the Red Devils did reject a £40 million bid for the winger from Napoli earlier this week. He has struggled to make an impact since Ruben Amorim's arrival as manager.
"The Argentine made only his first start in eight games in the FA Cup win over Arsenal at the weekend. He did then play all 90 minutes as United secured a comeback win over rock bottom Southampton on Thursday night.
"But with United needing to raise funds if they are to bring in new recruits for Amorim, Garnacho's future still appears to be in doubt. That has alerted Chelsea, who are keen to boost Enzo Maresca's attacking options.
"Garnacho does though fit the profile of player the Blues are looking to sign this month. His contract at United still has another three years to run though and United are standing firm on a £60m valuation.
"With that in mind, Chelsea are also monitoring Karim Adeyemi."
Haaland may cost £500m
The Sun reports that Manchester City could loan Erling Haaland out to sister clubs Girona or New York City FC if they are relegated to the Championship, in light of their financial regulation charges.
Otherwise, the paper suggests that it would take £500 million to prise the player away from the Etihad.
The story states: "Of course, if it was just one season in the Championship - and there is nothing to suggest that is in consideration until the verdict is known - the easiest way out would be to loan Haaland to another club in the City Football Group for a campaign. Girona, possibly, or an MLS year in the Big Apple.
"But if Haaland did kick off, City have guaranteed themselves a huge financial buffer.
"Tying Haaland to such a long deal - one that would not be permissible under FIFA regulations in some countries, where employment law states contracts cannot last longer than five years - is a statement, unquestionably.
"If another club wants to tempt him away - and Real Madrid and Barcelona are the two most obvious potential suitors, probably followed by PSG or the PIF-owned clubs of the Saudi Pro League - they will have to buy out the contract and pay a massive fee.
"That would see a potential £500m transfer demand, a sum few could possibly meet."
Bayern consider Gittens swoop
Bayern Munich have become the latest club to be linked with Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens.
The 20-year-old has been one of the German side’s best players this season, and their poor season so far could open up the player to a deal.
The Athletic writes: "Bayern Munich have expressed an interest over a summer transfer for Borussia Dortmund’s English winger Jamie Gittens.
"Gittens, 20, has been at Dortmund since 2020, and is enjoying a breakthrough year in the Bundesliga, scoring seven times in 18 appearances.
"Gittens has also been in fine form in the Champions League, too, scoring four times in seven games, with Dortmund well-placed to advance to the knockout phase.
"Dortmund face Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday night and while Sahin’s position is not immediately under threat, another defeat would intensify the pressure on him — and create further doubt around Gittens’ long-term future, despite a contract that runs until 2028."
Arsenal track Norwegian star Nypan
Arsenal are one of the clubs in the race to sign Rosenborg’s teenage midfielder Sverre Nypan.
The 18-year-old is established in the Norwegian league, and is valued at around £10 million.
The Telegraph explains: "Arsenal are among the clubs interested in signing Norwegian teenager Sverre Nypan, Telegraph Sport understands.
"Nypan, a prodigious 18-year-old midfielder who has already made more than 50 appearances for Rosenborg in the Norwegian top flight, is regarded as one of the most talented young players in Europe.
"Reports in Norway have suggested that a decision on Nypan’s future will be made in the coming weeks. Arsenal are believed to be just one of many interested clubs, with TV2 in Norway claiming that Manchester City are also looking at him closely.
"Rosenborg are reported to want around £10 million for Nypan, who was drawing comparisons to Arsenal captain and fellow Norwegian Martin Odegaard at the age of just 16."
