Zubimendi makes U-turn

Martin Zubimendi is desperate for Liverpool to reignite their interest in him in the January transfer window after the midfielder turned down their advances in the summer to stay at Real Sociedad.
The Spain international is said to “regret” snubbing The Reds and wants to make the move to England this season.
The Daily Mail reports: “Martin Zubimendi reportedly regrets snubbing Liverpool this summer in favour of staying at Real Sociedad.
“The midfielder has apparently asked for the Reds to try and sign him in January after rejecting a £52 million bid to stay in San Sebastian.
“The 25-year-old had given Liverpool his word but backtracked after a charm offensive from Real Sociedad boss Imanol Alguacil, who reminded him of his love for Basque food and hiking locally.
“However, Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo claims he has told Liverpool to try and sign him again.”
The report adds, however: “That said, it is worth applying a dose of scepticism. Estadio Deportivo cites the 'English media' as a source.”

Mudryk unhappy at Chelsea

Mykhaylo Mudryk is “desperate” to leave Chelsea as he searches for regular first-team football, claims the Daily Express.
The Ukraine international has only made one Premier League start under new manager Enzo Maresca so far this season.
The winger, who cost The Blues in excess of £88 million, was substituted at half-time against Wolves.
“Now, TEAMtalk reports that the 23-year-old is 'desperate' for a move to secure more game time, suggesting a January exit could be on the horizon,” states the report.
“It's understood that Chelsea are 'open' to letting Mudryk go, with a departure described as 'very possible'.
“Premier League and European clubs are showing interest in Mudryk. Bayern Munich, who attempted to sign him on loan in January, still have their eyes on him, but their interest has waned since Vincent Kompany took over from Thomas Tuchel earlier this summer.
“Marseille is also in the running for Mudryk. Manager Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly a 'big fan' of the winger and believes he can bring out his best.
“A loan move in January seems most likely as clubs typically avoid large expenditures mid-season."

Newcastle tracking 'next Haaland'

Newcastle are tracking teenage striker Sindre Walle Egeli, who has been labelled the “next Erling Haaland”.
The Mail claims Eddie Howe’s side are interested in the 18-year-old Norwegian, who plays for Danish side FC Nordsjaelland.
Egeli partnered Haaland in attack for his country earlier this month when he won his first international cap against Kazakhstan.
The outlet notes: “Confidential can confirm that the Magpies are tracking Sindre Walle Egeli, the 18-year-old who made his international debut earlier this month.
“However, we understand it would take a fee well in excess of the £6m they paid to sign Yankuba Minteh from the Danish Superliga in July, 2023.”
According to the report, Egeli could cost the north-east club around £21 million.
