Former Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot has been linked once more with Manchester United, while Stockport County’s Andy Mangan appears unlikely to join Real Madrid as a coach. Elsewhere, Brazilian winger Antony is set to remain at Old Trafford instead of moving to the Turkish Super Lig, and Newcastle United continue to track Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

Rabiot linked with United
Adrien Rabiot is once more being linked with a move to Manchester United as he remains a free agent.
The French midfielder left Juventus in the summer and had previously been approached by United.
The Daily Star explains: “Long-time Manchester United target Adrien Rabiot remains on "excellent terms" with Erik ten Hag's side, according to his mum Veronique.
“Back in the summer of 2022, when Ten Hag first took the reins at Old Trafford, it looked like Rabiot was all set for a move. The Red Devils were close to sorting out his pay packet and had even shaken hands on a £15m fee - but Rabiot slammed the brakes on the entire deal.
“Fast forward to now, and after letting his contract run down at Juventus, Rabiot is a free agent, and it's no secret that he's caught Ten Hag's eye again, as revealed by Daily Star Sport. Rabiot's mother, who doubles as his agent, isn't shy about piping up about her son's career moves, and has spoken highly of their relationship with the Red Devils in the past amid prospective transfer talks.
“His mum's willingness to enter talks could be a positive sign for those at Old Trafford with their eyes on Rabiot, despite her reputation for being somewhat confrontational. Veronique has previously been in the headlines for her no-holds-barred approach, notably unleashing a bombshell in an interview where she bemoaned her son's situation at PSG - when his contract was due to expire.”
Mangan missed out on Real move
Andy Mangan appears to have been denied a move to Real Madrid, the Mirror reports.
The Stockport County man still has the chance to appeal, but his initial application for a visa was denied.
The paper explains: “Stockport County's Andy Mangan has been prevented from joining Carlo Ancelotti's coaching staff at Real Madrid.
“Mangan joined Stockport earlier this year, but looked set to make the move to Madrid after an approach from the La Liga giants. The 38-year-old, who played as a striker for the likes of Accrington Stanley, Wrexham and Fleetwood, earned his UEFA Pro License alongside Ancelotti's son Davide.
“Davide is Ancelotti's assistant and has worked with his father at previous clubs Bayern Munich, Napoli and Everton.
“Mangan could appeal the decision, but it is claimed that is unlikely and he now looks set to stay at Stockport. The League One side have made an impressive start to the season, having earned promotion after winning the League Two title.”
Antony set to remain with United
Despite the Turkish transfer window being extended until Friday, Manchester United winger Antony is unlikely to leave.
The Brazilian had been linked with an exit after two difficult seasons with the club, but appears set to stay.
The Daily Mail reports: “The Premier League transfer window may have been closed for 11 days, but speculation over two Manchester United stars has continued thanks to the deadline in Turkey being extended until Friday.
“No sooner had Casemiro ruled out a move to Galatasaray and vowed to fight for his place at Old Trafford than Antony was being linked with Fenerbahce, United’s opponents in the Europa League.
“The Brazil winger has made only one appearance this season as an 89th-minute substitute at Brighton, with Erik ten Hag preferring Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho on the right wing.
“But Confidential understands there is little chance of Antony moving to Turkey after a number of wide players left United this summer including Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood, Facundo Pellistri and Omari Forson.”
Newcastle keep track of Guehi
Marc Guehi remains a target for Newcastle United, and their backroom disagreements have been settled.
The Telegraph believes Eddie Howe and Paul Mitchell are now ready to work more constructively.
The paper writes: “Newcastle United are already moving ahead with plans for the January transfer window with sporting director Paul Mitchell and manager Eddie Howe determined to put their summer issues behind them.
“Telegraph Sport has spoken to multiple sources in the last few days and Mitchell and Howe have both expressed a desire to make their relationship work for the good of the club.
“Both have acknowledged that the summer transfer window reached a disappointing conclusion with the failure to sign either centre-back Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace or winger Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest, but have also expressed a desire to look to the future rather than the past.
“A renewed effort to sign Guehi is anticipated, although that will depend on whether Palace are willing to reduce an asking price that had risen to more than £70 million in August.
“Guehi will have just 18 months left on his contract in January unless the south London club can persuade him to sign an extension before the New Year.”
