Napoli striker Victor Osimhen could quit Galatasaray early to pursue a move to Chelsea in January, while defender Ben Chilwell has been linked with a transfer to Turkish side Fenerbahce. Elsewhere, purported details over Ivan Toney’s move to the Saudi Pro League have come out, and Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard could consider leaving the club in search of more minutes.

Osimhen could make early January switch
The Mirror believes that Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has a break clause in his loan switch to Galatasaray.
The forward is heading on a season-long loan to Turkey but there is no option to buy, and he may even leave in January.
The paper claims: “Victor Osimhen could yet join Chelsea despite closing in on a loan move to Galatasaray - possibly even joining the Blues as soon as January.
“While the deal has yet to be officially confirmed at the time of writing, the Turkish transfer window remains open until September 13. Osimhen is expected to complete a straight loan with no option to buy, in a coup for last season's Turkish champions.
“Chelsea responded to missing out on Osimhen and fellow target Ivan Toney by handing a bumper new contract to striker Nicolas Jackson. The Senegal striker will lead the line between now and the new year, but details of Osimhen's loan appear to open the door for Enzo Maresca's team.
“Napoli's delay in allowing Osimhen to leave came due to negotiations over a new deal for the striker. The new compromise is said to include an extension until 2027 on the same wages, but with a lower release clause of £67.4m if the Partenopei can't make a sale by June 2025.
“Napoli were after the extension to ensure they wouldn't be welcoming Osimhen back with just a year left on his deal, thus reducing their bargaining power. Player and club now appear to have reached a compromise, with Osimhen also getting his wish of a break clause.
“That clause means he can cut short his loan in January if one of 10 unnamed clubs come in.”
Chilwell linked with Fenerbahce swap
Ben Chilwell might be given the chance to leave Chelsea in the coming days, according to The Sun.
Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce, managed by Jose Mourinho, could be an option for the defender.
The paper notes: “Chilwell is thought to be content at Stamford Bridge and will not move unless the right move presents itself.
“The Dutch and Portuguese transfer windows both shut tonight, as well as the transfer window for Saudi Arabia, although it's understood Chilwell is not keen on a move to the Middle East.
“One window that will remain open for a while longer is the Turkish Super Lig window, which does not close until September 13
“That would see him link up with a host of ex-Premier League stars.
“These include Fred, Allan Saint-Maximin, Caglar Soyuncu, Dusan Tadic, Sofyan Amrabat, Cenk Tosun and Edin Dzeko.”
Toney deal details revealed
The Telegraph reveals that Ivan Toney will earn huge sums after moving to the Saudi Pro League.
He will reportedly earn almost £500,000 a week with Al Ahli after leaving Brentford on deadline day.
The paper writes: “Ivan Toney’s deadline day move to Saudi Arabia could see him land the UK equivalent of £1 million a week after bonuses are included.
“The England striker signed for Al-Ahli last week on a dramatic final day of the summer window. The 28-year-old was minutes away from missing out on leaving Brentford as Victor Osimhen also pushed for a move to the Saudi club.
“Toney’s four-year deal will land him basic pay of around £400,000 per week after tax. It is understood add-ons and bonuses related to performance would take his salary to towards £500,000 across his contract. To earn the same take-home pay in the UK after tax would need wages close to £1 million per week.”
Trossard considers Arsenal exit
The Athletic reports that Leandro Trossard could be prepared to leave Arsenal.
Al Ittihad had a bid rejected for the player recently, but he is not guaranteed a regular starting place.
The website explains: “It is a testament to the impact Leandro Trossard has had at Arsenal that the club have rejected a lucrative proposal from Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad to sign the forward.
“The Belgium international has scored 19 goals and assisted 12 in 71 appearances since signing from fellow Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023, a contribution that makes him an important part of manager Mikel Arteta’s squad.
“As a result, turning down Al Ittihad’s preliminary offer of a loan for the rest of this season, including a fee of €5million (£4.2m; $5.5m) with an obligation to buy next summer for a price between €20 million and €25m, may have been easy for Arsenal.
“For Trossard, however, there may have been mixed feelings.
“The versatile forward will turn 30 in December, and while he is one of Arteta’s most reliable players, he has been far from a guaranteed starter for Arsenal up to now.”
