Onana wants Man Utd return
Andre Onana is on loan at Trabzonspor for the rest of the season, but he hopes to regain his place at Manchester United.
The Turkish side would like to retain the Cameroonian goalkeeper, who would also consider a move to another Premier League outfit.
The i Paper writes: "Andre Onana is not giving up hope of resurrecting his Manchester United career when he returns from his loan spell in Turkey and is open to moving to another Premier League club in order to keep his English dream alive.
"Onana will spend the rest of this season at Super Lig side Trabzonspor having lost his first-team place at United due to a string of high-profile errors last season.
"The Turkish club are understood to be keen on prolonging Onana’s time there after being impressed with him since his summer arrival. The i Paper has been told, however, that the Cameroon international still has aspirations of regaining the No 1 shirt at Old Trafford upon completion of his temporary exile.
"Sources close to Onana are also not ruling out trying to engineer a move to another Premier League club, should deposing Senne Lammens in the United goal not be deemed possible."
Roma want Sancho for January swoop
Serie A side Roma want to sign Jadon Sancho and also have Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee in their sights.
Sancho is struggling for minutes at Aston Villa while Zirkzee is unable to get regular time under Ruben Amorim.
The Daily Express states: "Jadon Sancho could be targeted by Roma in January after failing to nail down a regular starting berth at Aston Villa. The 25-year-old moved to Villa Park on loan from Manchester United in the summer but is yet to start a Premier League game for his new side.
"Sancho has endured a difficult period on the pitch since leaving Borussia Dortmund in favour of a move to Manchester United in 2021. The winger was unable to establish himself at Old Trafford and had loan spells with Dortmund and Chelsea before opting for a stint in the west Midlands.
"Sancho reportedly attracted interest from Roma in the summer ahead of his move to Villa Park.
"Roma are also chasing a striker, with United forward Joshua Zirkzee said to be their priority target.
"If the San Siro giants attempt to press ahead to sign the Netherlands international, they would aim for a loan deal with an obligation to buy him permanently on the basis that they qualify for next season’s Champions League.
"But Roma, who also have Tottenham winger Mathys Tel on their radar, are reportedly working with a limited budget and are therefore seeking solutions that aren’t too financially demanding."
Bayern tracking Konate
Ibrahima Konate is a target for Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, according to reports in Germany.
The Liverpool defender is out of contract in the summer, and his club could be ready to sell this January.
The Daily Mail explains: "Bayern Munich are watching Ibrahima Konate's contract situation closely, with Liverpool putting pressure on the French defender to make a decision on his future, according to a report.
"Konate's deal runs out at the end of the season, with there currently no sign of whether he will be extending his stay at Anfield. Should he choose not to, the Reds may look to offload him in January to avoid losing him for free.
"The situation with Bayern Munich, according to the report, surrounds the future of Dayot Upamecano, who too is out of contract at the end of the season and yet to sign a new deal.
"Should he stay in Munich, it is reported that Bayern will be happy with their options, but otherwise may move for Konate or Guehi. Real Madrid are also looking at all three defenders."
Leeds fail with Garcia interest
Leeds will not be able to sign Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Garcia this winter on a loan deal, according to the Mirror.
The Spain Under-21 forward had been linked with the starlet but Xabi Alonso is not interested in letting him leave.
The paper reports: "Leeds United have seen a move to sign Real Madrid starlet Gonzalo Garcia blocked by Xabi Alonso. Leeds boss Daniel Farke has been keen to bring the Spain Under-21 striker to Elland Road in January.
"Farke wants to freshen up his attack in his quest to keep Leeds in the Premier League. The Leeds board are ready to back him and Leeds were willing to sign Garcia on a six-month deal, with a view to making the move permanent in the summer for £20 million.
"However, Garcia has been told he cannot leave Madrid by former Liverpool star Alonso. Alonso has held talks with Garcia and told him he is still very much in his plans - both short term and long term."
