Manchester United interested in Elliot Anderson and Aurelien Tchouameni, Raheem Sterling faces uncertain future at Feyenoord - Paper Round

Manchester United reportedly have their sights on Nottingham Forest’s Elliott Anderson and Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni as they look to bolster their midfield.

United are set to see Casemiro leave this summer when his contract expires.
According to the Telegraph: ”In terms of age, profile and temperament, Anderson, 23, ticks many of United’s boxes.Â
”But if Nottingham Forest avoid relegation it could cost at least £100m to convince them to sell and that could prove prohibitive for the Old Trafford club. Rivals Manchester City are also very keen and thought to be the current frontrunners.
”United have no interest in spreading themselves too thinly and signing mediocrity – a mistake the club have made in the past. But there is a limited budget and it will have to be spent wisely.
”Tchouameni is considered an interesting option as the France midfielder, now 26, enters his prime at Real Madrid but various pieces may have to fall into place in the transfer window for United’s hand to be strengthened on that one.
”[Real Madrid president] Florentino Perez is known to have one eye on City’s Rodri who, in many respects, fits with the Real president’s ideal kind of signing – Madrid born, captain of the Spain national team and a Ballon d’Or winner.
”At 29, he is older than the profile of signing Real have been leaning towards in the last couple of years.
”But if Perez was to harden his interest that could open the door on Tchouameni, even if Eduardo Camavinga is the midfielder Real would probably prefer to listen to offers for. City, it should be said, have offered Rodri a new contract and do not want to lose him.”
PSG enter race for Diomande
Liverpool could face stiff competition from Paris Saint-Germain for RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, a setback in their bid to find a replacement for Mohamed Salah.
The Reds reportedly see the 19-year-old as a long-term replacement for Salah, who is set to leave Anfield at the end of the season.
But the Mirror claims PSG are just one of a number of top European clubs who are interested in signing the Ivorian teenager.
"Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly poised to enter the race against Liverpool for ÂŁ87million-rated RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande after holding talks over a potential deal," writes the outlet.
"However, it is understood that Leipzig's hefty asking price for the 19-year-old could deter Liverpool and other interested parties. Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are also thought to be circling, along with German champions Bayern Munich.
"Sky Sports Germany now report that PSG have thrown their hat into the ring, with the European giants' sporting director Luis Campos said to have 'entered the bidding war'.
"According to the report, a meeting between PSG and the player's representatives took place in recent days. Nevertheless, Liverpool are still considered the frontrunners to land the young talent."

Sterling could become free agent - again
Raheem Sterling could again become a free agent this summer, despite joining Feyenoord in February.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City forward left Chelsea by mutual consent in January before joining the Dutch side weeks later on a short-term deal.
The 31-year-old is still looking for his first goal in Robin Van Persie's side, with one assist in six appearances.
The Sun writes: "Reports suggest Sterling will not be offered an extension – although SunSport understands a final decision has not been made just yet.
"According to Algemeen Dagblad, the club do not feel he has met expectations on the field with one assist in six matches and question marks over his fitness.

"Sterling was dropped by manager Robin van Persie for the trip to NEC Nijmegen on April 12 and remained an unused sub in a fresh blow.
"Now with four games left and Feyenoord desperate to cling on to second place in the table, it appears the forward may well be without a club once more within the next month."
Fenerbahce eye Sarr
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr is on Fenerbahce's radar, claims a report in the Express.
The 23-year-old is said to be seen as the ideal replacement for former Manchester United midfielder Fred.
There are fears Spurs could face a mass exodus of their key players should the club be relegated from the Premier League.
The Express states: "Fenerbahce are considering signing Tottenham's Pape Matar Sarr to replace former Manchester United midfielder Fred. Sarr, 23, is understood to be on a list of midfielders the Turkish side are interested in.
"Turkish outlet Fotomaç have claimed talks are even underway to bring the midfielder to the Turkish Super Lig. The European heavyweights, who are managed by former Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco, are also looking to shift on Fred, who was known for his five-season stint at Old Trafford between 2018 and 2023."
