Manchester United and Manchester City will compete for Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson this summer. Elsewhere, former Man Utd and Nottingham Forest midfielder Jesse Lingard is on the verge of a free transfer to Brazilian giants Corinthians, and Newcastle United's Tino Livramento may join Pep Guardiola's Man City if he does not sign a new deal.

City 'to battle' United for Anderson
Manchester United and Manchester City will compete to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson in the summer transfer window, reports The Mirror.
The 23-year-old is valued at around ÂŁ75 million, with Nottingham Forest standing no chance of retaining him if they are relegated.
The Mirror explains: "Bitter rivals Manchester United and City will go head-to-head in a battle to sign Elliot Anderson this summer. The neighbours have both made the England and Nottingham Forest star one of their main transfer targets.
"Anderson has emerged as one of the best midfielders in Europe since joining Forest from Newcastle for ÂŁ35m in 2024. The 23-year-old has gone on to establish himself in the England team - and will be part of Thomas Tuchel's World Cup plans this summer.
"United and City are both keen to strengthen midfield this summer - and will find themselves in a bidding war for the ÂŁ75m-rated ace."
Lingard set for Corinthians
Former Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard appears set to join Corinthians in the coming days, according to the Daily Mail.
The 33-year-old’s time in South Korea came to a close in December, freeing him up for a move to South America.
The Daily Mail states: "Jesse Lingard is likely to join Corinthians in Brazil after talks progressed on Friday.
"The historic Brazilian club, who also boast another former Manchester United player, Memphis Depay, among their ranks, have been discussing an offer for free agent Lingard over recent weeks.
"There has also been interest from Remo and Curitiba but the stature of Corinthians is understandably appealing to the former England international as he contemplates his next move.
"Should discussions continue on the same trajectory today, the forward could even travel to Brazil this weekend to finalise matters.
"The 33-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Seoul in December and has held talks with a number of clubs over the past two months."
Newcastle 'consider' Livramento sale
Newcastle will look at selling defender Tino Livramento in the summer as he approaches the last two years of his contract, according to The Telegraph.
Manchester City are linked with the full-back, rated at between ÂŁ60-70m, and it may make financial sense to move him on.
The Telegraph reports: "Livramento’s unwillingness to extend his contract makes Newcastle vulnerable. Unless that stance changes, he will have only two years remaining in the summer, which means his market value will be at its highest in the next transfer window. There is a view that the full-back would be interested in a summer move if a top club came in for him, even though he is happy on Tyneside.
"The issue that could put off potential bidders is the player’s injury record. Still just 23, the defender has already missed a season at Southampton with a serious knee injury. He has also been hampered by injuries since he arrived at Newcastle in 2023 and has barely played this season because of knee and hamstring problems. Even if Livramento signs a new contract, it will almost certainly come with a release clause."
