Emiliano Martinez is being linked with a move to Serie A giants Juventus but the Aston Villa and Argentina goalkeeper's salary may prove to be a stumbling block.

Juventus reportedly want a replacement for Michele Di Gregorio after the Italian struggled at times last season.
But with first choice Alisson Becker not available, they have now turned their attention to another Premier League keeper.
Martinez has been at Aston Villa since 2020, but Gazzetta dello Sport reports that there is interest from Juventus in the Argentina No. 1.
However, it remains to be seen whether Juventus would be willing to pay Martinez’s salary - the World Cup winner is said to be on a €7 million (£6m) net annual contract until 2029 at Villa.
If the deal fails to materialise, Juventus are also interested in Tottenham Hotspur’s Guglielmo Vicario, who wants to return to his native Italy.
Vicario’s current contract runs until 2028.

Eichhorn to remain in Germany

Teenager Kennet Eichhorn has been linked with a move to Liverpool but the Hertha BSC player reportedly wants to stay in his native Germany.
At just 16 years old, Eichhorn is already being targeted by a host of Europe's biggest clubs.
But given his desire to remain closer to home, it appears to be a three-way fight between Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen to sign the teenager, according to Sky Sports Germany.
Liverpool had hoped to reach a pre-agreement given his age, with plans to loan him to a German side until he turned 18, but it appears not to be and Eichhorn could now follow in Michael Ballack’s footsteps and start his career at Leverkusen, who have emerged as slight favourites.

Real target Arsenal star

Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori is being chased by Real Madrid, according to Sky Sports Italy.
Calafiori was part of Arsenal’s Premier League-winning squad, but reports state that Jose Mourinho is interested in reuniting with a player he knew back in his Roma days.
The 24-year-old defender made his name with stints at Basel and Bologna before Arsenal came calling and has been with The Gunners since 2024.
Los Blancos president Florentino Perez has already made noises about some big signings this summer ahead of Mourinho’s return as head coach and Real are planning to strengthen their squad after a tricky campaign that yielded no trophies.

Udinese consider Solet’s future

Internazionale and Juventus are both interested in signing Udinese defender Oumar Solet - if the price is right.
The 26-year-old has been with Udinese since last year, but it seems some big names are coming calling.
Given Solet is not in France’s World Cup squad, he could join a new club for pre-season training sooner rather than later.
Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting Inter as slight favourites to sign the defender on loan, assuming they can agree a fee which is reported to be in the region of €6 million (£5.2m).
