Messi back at Barcelona

Lionel Messi made a surprise return to Camp Nou this week - and set tongues wagging by saying he hopes to come back to Barcelona for the goodbye he "never got".
Messi shared photos on Instagram of himself standing on the pitch at Camp Nou, which is currently being redeveloped.
"Last night I returned to a place I have missed with all my soul," he wrote.
"A place where I was extraordinarily happy, where a thousand times you made me feel like the happiest person in the world. I hope one day I can come back, and not just to say goodbye as a player, as I never got to."
Messi made a tearful departure from Barcelona in 2021, leaving for Paris Saint-Germain and then joining Inter Miami.
He returned to Barcelona this week ahead of linking up with the Argentina squad to train in Alicante.
It has been reported that Messi might look for a short loan spell during the MLS off-season to help him stay in shape ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Milan target Lewandowski

AC Milan have set their sights on signing Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski next summer, according to Tuttosport.
Lewandowski, 37, will become a free agent when his current deal with Barca expires in 2026.
He reportedly wants to stay in Europe and Milan are in the market for a striker.
They have had success in the past signing veteran centre-forwards such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mario Mandzukic, and Olivier Giroud.
