England drawn with Spain, Croatia and Czechia in 2026/27 Nations League group, Wales face Portugal, Norway and Denmark

The draw for the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League has taken place, with England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Republic of Ireland learning their groups. England and Wales are both in Group A of the competition, while Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland are in Group B. Portugal are defending champions after lifting the trophy for the second time in 2025.

England have been drawn in Group A3 alongside European champions Spain, Croatia and Czechia in the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League.
The Three Lions, whose manager Thomas Tuchel has signed a new deal until the 2028 European Championships, were promoted into Group A following the last edition of the Nations League.
Wales are also in the top tier and have been placed in Group A4 along with defending champions Portugal, Norway and Denmark.
Scotland, who will play at this summer's FIFA World Cup, are in Group B1 with Slovenia, Switzerland and Montenegro.
Northern Ireland are in Group B2 with Hungary, Ukraine and Georgia, while Republic of Ireland face Israel, Austria and Kosovo in Group B3.
Group A also features France, Italy and Belgium in A1, and Germany and the Netherlands in A2.
"It’s a proper line up," said Tuchel. "Very difficult matches – very competitive. It’s very competitive but basically exactly what we need to prepare for the home Euros.
"A lot of stories around it. Again, Croatia because we play in the same group in the World Cup, but that’s what it is."
The first four rounds will be played in a new extended international break running from September 24 to October 6.
The schedule for all the Nations League matches is set to be confirmed on Friday morning.
The draw for England came on the day when it was revealed that Tuchel has extended his contract as manager through to Euro 2028.
The German took charge in January 2025, with the original deal ending after this summer's World Cup.
But now he will also be in the hot seat for a European Championship that will take place on home soil for England.

"It's no secret to anyone that I have loved every minute so far," Tuchel said. "I did not hesitate when asked to continue in this dream job.
"Euro 2028 will be a very special tournament and as a coach there is nothing more you want than to compete with the very best on the biggest possible stage."
Before all that, England face the World Cup, as they aim to win a first major trophy for 60 years.
England kick off against Croatia on June 17, before taking on Ghana on June 23 and then Panama on June 27.
Scotland will be playing in their first World Cup since France 98, with thousands of their supporters set to follow them on a dream American trip.
Steve Clarke's team begin their campaign against Haiti on June 14, before meeting Morocco on June 19 and Brazil on June 24.
Wales and Northern Ireland are both in the play-offs.
Wales will host Bosnia-Herzegovina in the semi-finals on March 26 and Northern Ireland travel to Italy.
