Thomas Tuchel has recalled Jude Bellingham to the England squad for their final World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania. The Three Lions are seven points clear at the top of their qualifying group, but this could be Tuchel's best chance to test his squad ahead of next summer's tournament. Thomas Tuchel has recalled Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden to the England squad for their final two FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania this month.

Bellingham was omitted from Tuchel’s last two England squads, in part due to question marks surrounding his fitness.

However, he is now set to feature against Serbia and Albania after producing four goals and two assists for Madrid so far this season.

Manchester City's Foden has also been recalled after starring in midweek with two goals against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League.

The 25-year-old struggled last season but has impressed for City this term, producing four goals and three assists in 13 appearances across all competitions.

Tuchel says that Foden is at his best when he is deployed through the middle, and that he will have a more central role with England moving forward.

"Where Phil played against Borussia Dortmund is where I see him the strongest," he said.

"He is close to the opponent's box and a mix between a number nine and a 10.

"Phil scores and assists more from the 18-yard box where he scored against Dortmund. He's in the pockets and assists.

"Main thing about him is that he gets a role in the central part of the pitch. I don't see him as a winger anymore.

"He should have a central role that will bring out his strengths most. We've talked about this already with him."

Elsewhere, Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly has been left out, with Tuchel previously referencing that playing time would be important in his squad decisions.

Lewis-Skelly hasn't started a Premier League game for the Gunners this season.

Everton's Jack Grealish is also not in the squad despite impressing at club level but Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott is a surprise inclusion.

The 22-year-old joined the Cherries from Bristol City in August 2023 and could now make his international debut this month.

Adam Wharton is back in the Three Lions squad after an excellent start to the campaign with Crystal Palace.

The playmaker was picked for England's international break in September, but had to withdraw from the squad due to injury.

Real Madrid's Trent Alexander-Arnold is not in the squad.

Tuchel’s side are currently seven points clear at the top of their World Cup qualifying group and are already guaranteed a place at next summer’s tournament.

Their clash with Serbia will take place at Wembley on November 13 ahead of a trip to Albania on November 16.
