Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez ended a spectacular weekend at Grand Prix Aragon celebrating - and even dancing - in front of a jubilant home crowd. The curtain has fallen on another fast and frantic weekend of racing in the 2025 MotoGP season.
For a record-breaking seventh time, Grand Prix Aragon was dominated by Championship leader Marc Marquez.
The Spaniard claimed victory in Sunday's GP to complete a perfect treble after claiming pole position and winning Saturday's Sprint race.
With his brother Alex coming second, it was a weekend to remember for the siblings as they partied with the home crowd and even shared a joke with their mother as Marc tried to win her support.
However, there were talking points aplenty away from the top steps of the podium.

Martin and Toprak speculation swirls
The make-up of the 2026 MotoGP rider line-up was the talk of the town ahead of GP Aragon after a speculation-filled week.
World champion Jorge Martin’s bombshell announcement that he intends to terminate his Aprilia contract early at the end of an injury-wrecked debut season caused a huge stir.
Discussing the move and what it could mean, TNT Sports expert Neil Hodgson said: "I can’t blame Jorge Martin. It’s a short career. He’s had nothing but bad luck on the Aprilia."

On a potential move to Honda, he added: "It’s the biggest motorcycle manufacturer in the world. We’ve got big rule changes coming up.
"They’ve got some really experienced people working for them. If I was Jorge Martin now, I would think, well, I could ride the Honda, I might go in that direction."

Another man in the headlines is two-time World Superbike champion Toprak Razgatlioglu, who has been linked with a move to Prima Pramac for next season.
"It’s a really good opportunity for Toprak. It’s as good as a factory bike as you’re ever going to get really," Hodgson added.

Marquez makes ominous start
Championship leader Marquez sent a daunting message to the chasing pack when he got off to a perfect start to the weekend.
The six-time MotoGP champion finished top of the time sheets in Friday’s practice session, before things got even better on Saturday when he claimed pole position – not that he was entirely happy about it.
"[I was] trying to be too fast, even lost time. Of course, the riding style for the main race and the sprint is different, but the lap was not the smoothest lap of my life," he said afterwards.

The Spaniard followed that up with a dominant victory in the Sprint race, finishing ahead of his brother Alex.
"You could see Marc just had a little bit more today," Laverty said afterwards.
"(Alex) was thinking he'd rather bring home a Marquez 1-2 than battle for something he probably couldn't win today. He sort of accepted defeat to his older brother."

The closest Moto2 race ever
There was some jaw-dropping racing action on offer before the MotoGP riders took to the track on Sunday morning.
History was made as Turkish rider Deniz Oncu pipped Diogo Moreira over the line by 0.003 seconds in the closest finish in Moto2 history.
The pair flew down the final straight neck and neck after a nail-biting final lap, before a photo finish showed Oncu had just snuck over first.

Aldeguer v Acosta rivalry develops
Fermin Aldeguer has enjoyed an impressive debut season in MotoGP with Gresini, and the 20-year-old again made his presence felt in Aragon.
His duel with "huge rival" Pedro Acosta, one year his senior and from the same part of Spain, led Hodgson to say that the KTM rider was "having a hard time" dealing with his compatriot after Aldeguer came off better in Saturday’s Sprint.
"Pedro is the star, Pedro is the next hero of racing from Spain – or so he thought," Hodgson said.

Acosta got his own back by finishing fourth in Sunday’s Grand Prix, but Aldeguer again claimed plaudits after being involved in a thrilling battle for fifth with Franco Morbidelli.

Marquez family's 'perfect weekend'
When the lights went out for Sunday’s Grand Prix, Marc Marquez flew off the line and managed to consolidate his lead from pole position.
From there, he never looked back, staying in first place for the entire race – as his brother Alex did in second.

There were beautiful scenes afterwards as the siblings danced together in front of an adoring home crowd, and Marc couldn’t help but describe it as a "perfect weekend" when he spoke to TNT Sports.
"I was fully concentrated, sometimes even more serious than usual," he said. "I knew this weekend there was no chance to make any mistake."

Bagnaia bounces back
Marquez’s Ducati team-mate Francesco Bagnaia also had a Sunday to treasure, recovering from a disappointing 12th-place finish in the Sprint to come third and seal his fifth podium of the season.
It was a much-needed sign of improvement from the two-time world champion, who was coming off forgettable weekends at Le Mans and Silverstone before his Sprint disaster.
With a day of testing coming up and encouraging signs that he has found some form heading into his home race at Mugello, Hodgson was upbeat about the future.

"When you go to a track like Mugello, where he genuinely knows every bump in that track, he knows how a bike should react," Hodgson said.
"What that means is after the test tomorrow, when he goes there in that first practice session, he will know exactly where he is at.
"This is the biggest two weeks of the season for Bagnaia. Is he going to go forward to challenge Alex Marquez?"
