The Autumn Nations Series is fast approaching, with England starting things off against New Zealand on November 2, live on TNT Sports and discovery+. England head coach Steve Borthwick has named his 36-man squad ahead of the game, with Exeter's Henry Slade among those included. Alex Mitchell and Fraser Dingwall are injury absences, while George Ford was named in the "rehabilitation" section.

Henry Slade has been included in England’s 36-player squad for the Autumn Nations Series, but Alex Mitchell and Fraser Dingwall miss out.

Centre Slade has not played for Exeter yet this season after undergoing shoulder surgery in the summer.

But he is included in the England squad along with Tom Curry, who returned from a concussion absence for Sale last Friday.

England kick off the Autumn Nations Series with a blockbuster clash against New Zealand at Twickenham on Saturday, November 2, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.

England’s regular scrum-half Mitchell is out due to a neck injury, with Ben Spencer, Jack van Poortvliet and Harry Randall the three No. 9s in the squad.

Northampton centre Dingwall also misses out because of injury and George Ford is not in the 36-man squad but has been included in the "rehabilitation" section.

“Naming this squad is an exciting step in our preparations for the Autumn Nations Series, and we look forward to working with the players again in the days ahead,” said head coach Steve Borthwick.

“Our focus is on thorough preparation and building cohesion as we approach what will be a fiercely competitive series.

“Facing New Zealand in the opening match is a tremendous opportunity for us to test ourselves against one of the best teams in the world.

“Having only played at Allianz Stadium twice in our last 15 games, it will be fantastic to return and play in front of our home crowd. The energy and passion of our supporters always give the players an extra boost.”

England follow their opener against New Zealand by playing Australia, South Africa and Japan.
