Sale Sharks moved four points clear at the top of the Premiership as they edged past champions Saracens at a packed-out AJ Bell Stadium. The home side deserved their win as they claimed some revenge for their defeat to Sarries in last season's Premiership final at Twickenham. Sale also laid down a marker in the title race as they went clear on top ahead of Christmas.
