Snooker’s biggest names assembled at the 2025 Xi’an Grand Prix and one by one they have been whittled down until now just two remain to battle it out for the title.
The second edition of the tournament has delivered plenty of drama, incredible snooker and big-name upsets. World No. 1 Judd Trump’s poor run continued with a 5-4 loss to Matthew Stevens in the second round, while Ronnie O’Sullivan was stunned by Gary Wilson in the quarter-finals.
Kyren Wilson came into the event as the defending champion, but his hopes ended in a remarkable 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Shaun Murphy.
The 'Magician' has been on scintillating form and dispatched Gary Wilson to reach the final, where he will meet Mark Williams as he attempts to win a second successive ranking event.
Williams has been surprised by his run, which has included wins over Zhou Yuelong and Barry Hawkins, but few would be surprised were he to prevail in the best-of-19 title showdown.
