Iga Swiatek has decided to "take a different path" by parting company with coach Wim Fissette.
The move comes after the six-time Grand Slam champion suffered a disappointing early exit from the Miami Open, where she was beaten 1-6 7-5 6-3 by her compatriot Magda Linette in the last 64.
Swiatek and Fissette enjoyed some successful periods during their partnership, having joined forces in October 2024.
The world No. 3 won Wimbledon for the first time in the summer of 2025 and reached the semi-finals of the 2025 Australian Open.
The 24-year-old admitted that the Miami Open was a challenging experience in a post on her Instagram account on Monday.
"Miami was challenging for me,” she wrote.
”I feel disappointment, bitterness and responsibility for my performance on the court, of course.

"I've also learned a lot of important lessons, and I think that's very human.
"That being said, after many months of working together with my coach Wim Fissette, I've decided to take a different path."
Swiatek was hoping to complete a Career Grand Slam at the Australian Open back in January.
However, she was eliminated at the quarter-final stage after being beaten 7-5 6-1 by Elena Rybakina, who went on to win the tournament.
She was subsequently eliminated from the Qatar Open at the same stage after falling to a 2-6 6-4 7-5 defeat against Maria Sakkari.
The season went from bad to worse for the four-time French Open winner when she was eliminated from the quarter-finals of Indian Wells following a 6-2 4-6 6-4 loss against Elina Svitolina.
Fissette has worked alongside the likes of Kim Clijsters, Angelique Kerber and Naomi Osaka during his coaching career.
He also commented on the situation on social media, insisting he was glad to have shared some crucial moments in Swiatek’s career with her.
”You never know where life will take you and the ones you meet along the way,” he said.
”In 2018, I met Iga at the Wimbledon Champions Dinner after she won juniors. Seven years later, we won it together. A nice story.
”We both wanted and worked for more but shared important moments and lessons. Iga, I now wish you good luck and success in what’s next. I’m sure you will have it.
”Of course, a kind thanks to Iga’s fans, especially the Polish community for the support. I met many of you in person and appreciate the true passion you have for the sport. I hope it only continues to grow in the country.
”With my family here with me, I reflect on the kind messages I’ve received, and I’m really looking forward to the future.”
Swiatek will be hoping to win the fifth French Open of her career when she competes at Roland-Garros at the end of May.
