Jonas Vingegaard was unbeatable at the Giro d'Italia, winning five stages and cruising to overall victory to complete a full set of Grand Tour victories. However, his Tour de France was brought to a heartbreaking end as he suffered a crash and a broken collarbone during Stage 15.
Meanwhile, Seixas has been sensational all year, performing at a level arguably never seen from a teenager - even if a crash late in his Tour Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes campaign left some question marks heading into his Grand Tour debut.
The problem? Pogacar has proved unstoppable so far. The Slovenian was 14 stage wins short of Mark Cavendish's record haul of 35 when the race began, but he has already trimmed that deficit to 10.
He picked up his first win of the 2026 Tour on Stage 3 before dominating Stages 6 and 10 to open up a big lead. Pogacar followed that up with another victory in Stage 14 to take his tally up to 25.
A stunning victory on Alpe d'Huez on Stage 19 all but sealed a fifth Tour de France title for the 27-year-old, one that would place him alongside Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault and Miguel Indurain.

When is the 2026 Tour de France?
The 113th edition of the Tour de France got underway on Saturday, July 4 with an eventful team time trial in Barcelona, Spain.
After three stages, the race moved to French soil until the finale in Paris on Sunday, July 26.

Orla Chennaoui will once again front the live coverage, with Robbie McEwen, Matt Stephens and Adam Blythe on pundit duty throughout the race. The Breakaway heads onsite to the legendary Alpe d'Huez for the final week ahead of the double ascent on Stages 19 and 20, before a speedy transfer to Paris for the finale on Sunday, July 26.
