Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has no fear of Paris Saint-Germain in Saturday's UEFA Champions League final, claiming that Mikel Arteta's team can "score a lot more goals than them."

The Gunners are aiming to win the competition for the first time in their history in Budapest, but they face the sizeable task of beating the defending champions.

Luis Enrique's PSG, having thrashed Inter 5-0 to lift the trophy for the first time last year, have continued to excel in Europe, getting the better of Bayern Munich in a thrilling semi-final.

Given their current status as the continent's best team, the Parisians are the favourites to retain the Champions League.

But Raya, while acknowledging PSG's attacking prowess, claimed Arsenal will go into the match full of confidence less than a week after lifting the Premier League title at Selhurst Park.

"We know how good they are. Any player can hurt you from anywhere, so I know it’s going to be a busy evening," he said in an interview with CNN.

"If we do things well, we defend how we know how to defend, and then with the ball we are the way we want to play, I think we have a big chance to hurt them and score a lot more goals than them.

"That’s the message. We have to think that we are going to win the Champions League because we’re super convinced of what we’re capable of.

"If we do what we have to do, we have a big chance to win."

Raya has been an integral part of Arsenal's success this season, keeping 19 clean sheets in the Premier League and 13 in the Champions League, more than any other goalkeeper in both competitions.

The Spaniard has earned widespread praise for his performances and there has even been tentative talk of Ballon d'Or contention.

"Obviously, it’s something that you like to hear and you like to see people talking about that potential. I would love to be in that list and to be competing with the best in the world," Raya said.

"I leave that for the pundits and the people that speak sport. I just want to be the best version of myself every day…and the rest will come along."

Arsenal go into the Champions League final buoyant from their Premier League triumph and Raya believes the pressure has now been lifted somewhat.

"Incredible feeling, everything has paid off…the way we did this is incredible," he added.

"It’s a relief. It’s a weight off the shoulders and now we can be a little bit more free in a way. So that will help us to be even better, to be more convinced of what we’re capable of.

"It has to be a turning point for the club, for everyone that is involved here … So why can we not go next season and have the same aim?"
