HUTTON: GERS PAINFUL TO WATCH
"It was painful at times to watch, to have one shot on target against the lowest seeded team in the competition is really poor," Alan Hutton said on TNT Sports.
"Defensively, [it's the] same old, we've seen it all season. They tried to be narrow but gaps appeared from everywhere.
"I think this goes deeper than mangers. I know Russell Martin didn't work out, but you can't judge Danny Rohl over one game. It's going to take time.
"But it's more than that, the recruitment's the big issue for me, it was crying out at the start of the season to get experience, to get leaders within that dressing room.
"They didn't, they went down a different avenue, it didn't work out and look where they are right now."
DIFFERENT MANAGER, SAME RANGERS
There was optimism as Rangers fans sang Danny Rohl’s name before the match in Brann, but 90 minutes later it was clear how much of a job he has on his hands.
Rangers started quite well, but as the game went on Brann looked by far the better team, with the visitors never threatening after Brann’s opener from Emil Kornvig - a result of embarrassing defending where Bard Finne was totally free from the halfway line to run into the area and, with a bit of fortune, set up his team-mate to score.
The second came ten minutes after the break when Jacob Sorensen, unmarked, glancing home a free kick.
A third goal came with a fine strike from Noah Holm, taking the ball down on his chest and drilling a half-volley into the net.
Rangers now lie 36th and bottom of the Europa League after three defeats in as many games.
