TWO OF ARSENAL’S GOAL HEROES REACT TO CRUSHING WIN
MARTIN ODEGAARD: "A top game, a top performance. The fans made the atmosphere and to end the scoresheet like that [with five goals] can’t be better, so happy," he told Sky Sports.

KAI HAVERTZ: "We pressed them well. We didn’t give them time. They are a top team and they can beat the press, but our energy was good and we took our chances and at the end it was a good game."
More from Havertz on the press: "It’s the timing. We train to get it right. It’s not only us two, everyone needs to push through. The energy is very important. We are the first two to press."
He added: "It was nice to score. I was a bit frustrated after the chance [missed] in the first half. When I saw it go in, I was very happy."
Odegaard on Havertz: "He has a massive impact, he scored and assisted again today. He is important with and without the ball. A top player, it’s good to have him in the team."

ARSENAL LEGEND THIERRY HENRY REACTS TO STATEMENT WIN OVER THE CHAMPIONS
"Yes," said Henry when asked if that puts Arsenal firmly in that title mix on Sky Sports.
"The last 30 minutes, I really liked it. The desire was there.
"When we play forward and go higher we are difficult to stop and we have to play like that for the rest of the season."
He added: "Let’s enjoy it, it doesn’t happen very often [a thumping win over Man City].
"Having said that Liverpool are six points clear with a game in hand, so let’s keep on working."

ARSENAL STAY ON THE COAT-TAILS OF LIVERPOOL AS MAN CITY’S SLIM HOPES FADE
Second-place Arsenal cut the gap to leaders Liverpool back down to six points with a statement win over reigning champions Man City.
It is a victory that extends The Gunners’ unbeaten run to 14 Premier League games – their longest undefeated sequence in the top-flight since 2018 under Unai Emery.
It keeps Mikel Arteta’s men within range of Arne Slot’s Merseysiders, but it is looking like a top-four push for Pep Guardiola’s side at best.
This emphatic defeat halts City’s six-match unbeaten revival in the league following their pre-Christmas horror show and surely ends The Citizens’ already outside chances of retaining the title.
Next up, City visit Leyton Orient in the FA Cup on Saturday. Arsenal will aim for a second-leg comeback when they travel to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup semi-finals on Wednesday.
