Aston Villa were roaring at Villa Park on Sunday as they thumped Bournemouth 4-0 in the Premier League, with Andoni Iraola's side falling to back-to-back defeats for the first time this season.
Emi Buendia opened the scoring with a perfectly executed free-kick just before the half-hour mark, swiftly placing an effort from just outside the box into the top-left corner.
Five minutes before the break, Morgan Rogers beat two players before finding Amadou Onana with a deflected pass, and the midfielder made no mistake with the finish as he drilled beyond Djordje Petrovic from outside the box.
The Cherries had a golden opportunity to pull themselves back into the game from the penalty spot, but Antoine Semenyo - who has six Premier League goals this season - saw his effort from 12 yards saved by Emiliano Martinez.
Ross Barkley added a third from inside the six-yard box to put the game to bed, before Donyell Malen added gloss to the scoreline in the late stages with another close-range finish.
Bournemouth could have moved into the top four with a victory, but instead fell to ninth position, with Villa overtaking them on goal difference.

"I am so happy, after the poor start, how we are getting better," insisted Villa boss Unai Emery in his post-match press conference.
"We sent the message inside to increase our demands and consistency every day. Every day working, every day. Focusing intensely in each match.
"We had a fantastic month against the opponents we played. We are in good balance. After we focus, we are going to rest. Happy, getting balance.
"In bad moments, I tried to keep my own balance through work and through believing."
'Mentality changing' as Forest end barren winless run
It had been 84 days since Nottingham Forest last recorded a Premier League victory, which came on the opening day of the season against Brentford - two managers ago - when Nuno Espirito Santo was in charge.
They finally ended their winless run with a 3-1 victory over Leeds United at the City Ground.
However, it was not all plain sailing, as Leeds took a shock lead in the 13th minute through Lukas Nmecha. But Ibrahim Sangare swiftly had Forest back on level terms when he struck the equaliser two minutes later.
Morgan Gibbs-White edged Forest in front with a close-range header on 68 minutes, before fellow England international Elliot Anderson made sure of the three points with a third in added time.
The victory meant a much-needed three points for new boss Sean Dyche. Forest remain in the relegation spots in 19th, but are now just a point from safety after 17th-place Burnley lost on Saturday.
"It's a sign of the mentality changing," Dyche said afterwards. "We are on a run of one loss in five now. It's good to get that winning feeling back.
"I'm very pleased for everyone. The players have spoken openly about going through a lot."
As for Leeds, they are 16th after a fourth defeat in five games.
Brentford overcome 'frustrated' Newcastle
It was another bad day for 10-man Newcastle United, who have slipped to 14th place after a second successive defeat.
They were beaten by a bullish Brentford on Sunday - a week on from their loss at West Ham United - despite going in front thanks to Harvey Barnes' opener.
Barnes fired The Magpies ahead on 27 minutes as Eddie Howe's side went into the break with the lead, but Kevin Schade pulled Brentford level in the second half from a long throw.
Dan Burn was given his marching orders in the 73rd minute when he picked up his second yellow card for a foul on Dango Ouattara in the penalty box, which turned out to be a decisive moment in Brentford's search for a winner.
The Bees took the lead from the spot as Igor Thiago slotted home for his seventh league goal of the season, before scoring his eighth of the campaign to extend the hosts' lead to 3-1 in added time.
"I’m very disappointed that we got ourselves in a good position again and weren’t able to capitalise on that," Newcastle boss Howe said after the game.
"It was always going to be a tough, physical game and we needed to stand up to that.
"One mistake in the build-up to their first goal, we needed a reaction to that and we didn’t get it. Very frustrating end to the game.
"It’s different to the West Ham game [which Newcastle lost 3-1]. It’s important today that I support the players.
"We know it’s not good enough and I take full responsibility for that and if we want to get that right it starts now and that’s all that I can do at this moment."
Elsewhere, Crystal Palace drew 0-0 with Brighton & Hove Albion in a lacklustre 'M23 derby' stalemate at Selhurst Park, while Manchester City beat Liverpool 3-0 in Pep Guardiola's 1000th game.
