With the new Premier League season almost upon us, expectations are high across the entire top division. At the start of the new campaign, each and every team has something to play for and will do all they can to achieve their goals. But what might these targets be? TNT Sports looks at what a campaign of success could look like for every team in the division, and lets you have your say too.

What would success be for your team? Survival? Europe? A trophy? Or winning the whole damn thing?!
The new season brings both excitement and trepidation for the 20 competing teams, with goals being set and almost unrelenting pressure to achieve them.
Ahead of the start of the 2025/26 campaign, which which will be shown on TNT Sports and discovery+, we take a look at the expectations of all 20 Premier League teams and how realistic they are to achieve.
You can also vote as to how you think each team will perform over the next 10 months of near non-stop action.
Arsenal
After three consecutive second-place finishes in the league, there are some suggestions that Mikel Arteta’s Gunners need to win the title this season.
However, given the competitive nature of the top of the table, this is by no means a given.
A strong summer should have Arsenal in a position to challenge once again, but a trophy elsewhere will also be targeted, as well as another deep run in Europe after last season’s UEFA Champions League semi-final exit.
What would constitute a successful season?
Title challenge and any kind of silverware.

Aston Villa
A disappointing climax to the campaign saw Villa exit the Champions League at the quarter-final stage, lose in the semi-finals of the FA Cup and miss out on a top-five place on the final day.
However, even being in the European positions could be considered an achievement for Unai Emery’s side.
The Spaniard will hope to keep his side in and around the top six and is back in his favoured UEFA Europa League, a competition he will fancy his chances of winning yet again.
What would constitute a successful season?
A Champions League qualification push in the league and in the conversation to win the UEFA Europa League.
Bournemouth
Having retained the services of manager Andoni Iraola, the club will be hoping the Spaniard can continue the good work he started at the Vitality Stadium.
The Cherries found themselves pursuing a place in Europe last term and will be aiming for another top-half finish this time around – albeit managing the loss of several key players, like Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen.
What would constitute a successful season?
Snatching a place in Europe.
Brentford
The Bees have been more than a welcome addition to the Premier League since their promotion in 2021, but time could be running out for the west London side.
The impact of losing manager Thomas Frank and key players suggests they may well be looking over their shoulders this year.
What would constitute a successful season?
Staying up and trying to distance themselves from the drop zone.
Brighton
Only Liverpool and Arsenal lost fewer matches in the league than Brighton last season, but it was their 13 draws that cost them a spot in a UEFA competition this campaign.
Converting just three of those into wins would have seen The Seagulls finish fifth and qualify for the Champions League.
The sale of Joao Pedro might hinder their ambitions slightly, but they will still be confident they have more than half a chance of crashing the top six.
What would constitute a successful season?
Qualification for Europe.
Burnley
Despite dominating the Championship last season, the top flight is a whole different kettle of fish and survival is the name of the game for Scott Parker’s side.
Most people outside of Turf Moor would not be brave enough to bet against The Clarets dropping back into the Championship, so 17th would be enough of an achievement this year.
What would constitute a successful season?
Staying up.
Chelsea
The FIFA Club World Cup champions have had a brilliant few months both on and off the pitch with many expecting The Blues to kick on this season.
However, it remains to be seen whether their busy summer will have an impact on their staying power in four competitions, so the Stamford Bridge faithful, as optimistic as they are currently, may need to temper their expectations.
That said, they should still be in the mix for top honours.
What would constitute a successful season?
A top four finish and a deep run in the Champions League.

Crystal Palace
Oliver Glasner will forever go down in Palace folklore after delivering the FA Cup last season and even the disappointment of the decision to send them into the UEFA Conference League should not completely kill the buzz around Selhurst Park.
While it feels unlikely they will progress beyond their usual mid-table comfort zone in the league, they will absolutely fancy their chances of going far on their first-ever European adventure.
What would constitute a successful season?
Mid-table and reaching the latter stages of the UEFA Conference League.
Everton
The Toffees will be hoping their move to a brand-new stadium will mark a change in their recent fortunes.
David Moyes’ return last season brought some optimism and the hope in the blue half of Merseyside is that they might embark on a campaign where the looming spectre of relegation is not creeping up on them.
What would constitute a successful season?
A fairly comfortable season safely lodged in mid-table.
Fulham
For a while last season, Fulham certainly believed they could sneak into Europe, but ultimately, the team did not have enough to maintain their push for the duration of the campaign.
Under Marco Silva, there is not the feeling they will be dragged down the table, but there is little expectation they will kick on beyond their current standing.
However, seeing what Palace achieved last season could give them encouragement that a domestic cup is not out of reach.
What would constitute a successful season?
Mid-table and/or a strong showing in either of the domestic cups.
