Newcastle bounced back with a 2-1 victory against Fulham in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, and now they will hope to return to winning ways in the league when they take on Chelsea.

Blues head coach Enzo Maresca cryptically claimed he had endured his "worst 48 hours" in charge of Chelsea directly after their 2-0 victory over Everton.

Since then, they beat Cardiff City 3-1 to reach the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.

Maresca has also been linked in reports to the Manchester City job if Pep Guardiola leaves next summer. But Maresca has dismissed that as "pure speculation".
