Madrid target Haaland as Vinicius replacement

Vinicius Junior could be sold by Real Madrid at the end of the season, with the Spanish giants reportedly willing to part ways with the forward.

Spanish publication SPORT reports that Madrid would prefer to keep hold of the Brazilian - who has 18 months left on his contract - but only if he agrees to a new deal on their terms, as progress over a new contract stalled in the summer.

Talks between the club and the player had been ongoing for several months and should an agreement fail to be reached, Los Blancos are prepared to cash in on the forward. Saudi Arabian clubs have had a long-standing interest in the player.

Should it come to that, SPORT has also reported that Madrid will target a blockbuster move for Erling Haaland, who has continued his prolific goalscoring form with Manchester City and Norway this season, netting 18 times in 11 outings.

His signing has been labelled a "long-held dream" for Madrid president Florentino Perez.

The report reads: "Vinicius' renewal remains at a standstill after breaking the pre-agreement reached with Real Madrid. However, the player has taken a step back in search of a rapprochement to ease tensions. He already knows the club is unwilling to pay him the €25 million net he's demanding for a five-year contract extension.

"Madrid's Plan B would be to transfer him, even if it means a loss, and look for a replacement. Erling Haaland has been a long-held dream for Florentino Perez, and the intention would be to pursue his signing if the player were willing to change teams, facilitating his departure from City."

Wharton 'the chosen name' for Madrid

Spanish website AS reports that Madrid are keen to unite England midfield duo Adam Wharton and Jude Bellingham at the Bernabeu.

According to the reports, Madrid are keen on the 21-year-old's signature, who the club see as helping to replace former midfielders Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

The report explains: "[Madrid] know they'll need to make some additions to their midfield in the short term to fill in for the last few departures, especially Kroos and Modric. The chosen name is Adam Wharton, a 21-year-old Crystal Palace midfielder.

"His cost seems very high: he's valued at €45m, although Madrid knows he won't leave for less than €80m. However, the price isn't an issue for a player of that age, who clearly fits into the club's transfer policy of recent years.

"Wharton has a contract until 2029, and Crystal Palace, aware that several European giants are targeting him, plans to offer him an upgrade to keep him for as long as possible. But Madrid has already set its sights on this midfielder, who has a profile similar to Modric's: dynamic and capable of attacking, left-footed but with good right-footed skills, and who is the midfielder who has created the most chances in the Premier League so far."

West Ham eye Endrick swoop

Sticking with Madrid, and another Los Blancos forward whose time at the Bernabeu could soon be coming to an end.

Brazilian forward Endrick, 19, has returned from an injury sustained ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, and although he is back at Xabi Alonso's disposal, he has not played a single minute so far this campaign.

According to Estadio Deportivo, this has prompted Madrid to loan the player in January, with a handful of clubs on red alert should he become available - including Premier League strugglers West Ham United.

The report read: "Real Madrid made a big bet on Endrick two summers ago, paying a fixed €35m in a deal that could rise to €60m depending on various factors, such as the number of goals scored by the former Palmeiras player.

"They have complete confidence in the young Brazilian talent's progression. But after a season in which he showed glimpses of his potential, more and more voices are advising a loan move to avoid stunting his growth.

"Three clubs are well-positioned to take him on loan. West Ham, who are going through a difficult time in the Premier League, have positioned themselves in England, while Valencia and Real Sociedad are closely monitoring the move in La Liga. Neither of them has had the best start to the season and would be looking to bolster their attacks with a player with a promising future who could use Mestalla or Anoeta as a springboard to return to Real Madrid."

Chelsea to step up Yildiz interest

Chelsea are set to ramp up their approach for Juventus and Turkey star Kenan Yildiz.

Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that contract renewal talks between the player and Juventus are slowing down, with clubs including Chelsea and Barcelona ready to strike should the 20-year-old become available.

The Blues showed interest in the forward during the summer and had a big-money offer turned down, but are ready to return to the table and test the waters again.

The report reads: "Despite not being in great form [no goal contributions in four games], the Turkish star remains in the sights of Europe's top clubs.

"At the end of July, Damien Comolli [Juve general manager] turned down €70m from Chelsea, but The Blues, who have specialised in snapping up the majority of young talent in recent years, are ready to attack again."

While Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Yildiz wants to remain in Italy, with the club wanting to build the team around him, La Liga giants Barcelona could also make a move.

"Meanwhile, rumours continue to circulate in Spain about Joan Laporta's "crazy idea" to unite two of the world's top young talents under Barcelona: Yildiz and Lamine Yamal," the report adds.
