The former Bologna man worked with Juventus’ current manager, Thiago Motta.

The Sun writes: "Juventus have turned down an offer for Manchester United misfit Marcus Rashford.

"But incredibly, the Italian giants are more interested in the striker’s Old Trafford team-mate Joshua Zirkzee.

"Rashford, left out of Rubin Amorim’s squad for a fourth successive time in the 2-0 Boxing Day loss to Wolves, wants to leave United and is being offered by various agents around Europe.

"Juventus boss Thiago Motta is on the look-out for January reinforcements and while he is not keen on Rashford, he wants to land Zirkzee from United, the player he managed at Bologna last season."

Man Utd track Lammens

Manchester United are interested in Royal Antwerp's Senne Lammens as a possible first-choice goalkeeper in the future.

Lammens, a Belgium Under-21 international, has also been identified by Borussia Dortmund as a promising prospect.

The Telegraph notes: "Manchester United are looking at Belgium Under-21 international Senne Lammens as they assess their long-term options for goalkeepers.

"Lammens, 22, has been the first-choice goalkeeper at Royal Antwerp this season after establishing himself in the first team at the end of the last campaign, with Bundesliga clubs such as Borussia Dortmund viewing him as a player with huge potential.

"United have sent scouts to watch him this season in the Belgian Pro League and are looking at goalkeepers in case they need to make a replacement in the next windows.

"While a goalkeeper is not the priority for January, there could be movement in the summer should Altay Bayindir, the Turkey international, look for regular first-team football elsewhere. At 26, he may look for game time for the key age in his career."

Fulham weigh up Pereira sale

Fulham are willing to sell Andreas Pereira, but only if the midfielder makes a transfer request.

The 28-year-old is rumoured to be keen on a move to Brazil to aid his chances of winning a World Cup spot for his nation.

The Mirror states: "Fulham will only consider selling Andreas Pereira if he personally requests a transfer next month.

"The talented attacking midfielder is wanted by Brazilian giants Palmeiras, who are understood to have tabled an initial proposal worth in the region of £14 million plus add-ons.

"Pereira played 72 minutes in Fulham's memorable festive fightback at Stamford Bridge before later being withdrawn and [manager, Marco] Silva is believed to have little interest in a mid-season sale as the 28-year-old attacking midfielder remains a fundamental part of his squad.

"However, sources close to the ex-Manchester United man insist he is open to a return to Brazilian football - where he previously spent time on loan at Flamengo - as it could bolster his chances of making the national team squad for the 2026 World Cup.

"His current contract at Craven Cottage does not expire until the summer of 2026 though club sources insist Fulham do also have a 12-month option written into the agreement."

West Ham look for January transfers

West Ham are preparing for the January transfer window, and there are a number of names in the frame.

Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu, Brazilian striker Yuri Alberto, and Middlesbrough forward Emmanuel Latte Lath are mentioned by the Daily Mail, as is Brighton’s Evan Ferguson.

The paper reports: "The Hammers technical director Tim Steidten will lead the way when it comes to potential signings. The club have looked at Freiburg keeper Noah Atubolu before as they search for a long-term replacement for [Lukasz] Fabianski.

"They have also considered Brazil striker Yuri Alberto while Middlesbrough frontman Emmanuel Latte Lath, who has nine goals in the Championship this season, has also been linked.

"Brighton striker Evan Ferguson has also been rumoured as a potential loan target, though the Republic of Ireland striker spurned a golden chance at the London Stadium in front of co-owner David Sullivan last Saturday."
