Arsenal 'leading the race' to sign Bayern star

Arsenal are said to be "leading the race" to sign Bayern Munich star Leon Goretzka, according to reports in Germany.
German football reporter Christian Falk revealed on CFBayern that the 31-year-old is a big admirer of the Premier League and that Arsenal "would be a perfect next club" after Bayern announced earlier in the season Goretzka will leave at the end of this campaign.
"The Gunners didn’t make an offer in January, but they did signal that they were aware of the fact that Goretzka was considering a move away from Bayern," Falk said. "There were very concrete talks with Atletico Madrid – their sporting director was in Munich.
"The player’s goal is to move to the Premier League; he would love to play for Arsenal. Of course, he can’t guarantee that Arsenal will come back again in the summer with a concrete offer.
"I heard he loves the Premier League and his playing style suits English football. However, he’s not focused on one club and only one club this summer.
"If Arsenal are there, he’d be more than happy to sit at the table and listen to offers. Tottenham are also interested, and that could be an option, but Spurs are not as attractive an option as Arsenal right now."
Goretzka quickly became one of Bayern’s most important players after joining from Schalke in 2018.
He has made almost 300 appearances for the German club, scoring 48 goals and providing 49 assists. During his time in Munich, he has won six Bundesliga titles and the UEFA Champions League in 2020.
Goretzka has also appeared 67 times for the Germany national team, scoring 15 goals.

Livramento ‘nailed on’ to join Manchester City

Tino Livramento is reportedly "nailed on" to swap Newcastle United for Manchester City in the summer, according to Football Insider.
Former Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness told Football Insider that City are likely to fill the spot vacated by Kyle Walker with the 23-year-old for a fee around £70 million.
"I think that’s pretty much nailed on as far as I’m aware," Wyness said.
"I talked to an agent who said that it’s going to be happening. They did expect that sort of big number around the £70m mark, which is a big number, as we say, breaking the record.
"But I think he’s the right one for City. I think he’s a talented player, and it helps Newcastle fill the coffers."
Despite suffering with injuries, Livramento has become a vital player for Eddie Howe’s Newcastle, offering attacking threat from right-back. He’s also played three times for England.

Multiple clubs monitor former Villa forward

Multiple clubs across Europe are said to be eyeing up a move for former Aston Villa forward Moussa Diaby, according to Fussball-Daten.
Diaby, who currently plays for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, is reportedly on the "priority lists" of a number of top-flight clubs.
According to Fussball-Daten, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United from the Premier League are all keeping tabs on Diaby, as well as Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Athletico Madrid.
"Diaby's explosive speed and his technical skills in tight spaces have attracted the attention of several clubs who are urgently seeking creativity on the wings," the report said.
"At 26, the French international (11 caps) is at the prime age to compete at the highest European level once again.
"A return to the Bundesliga currently seems most likely and could provide Dortmund with a crucial boost in their sporting restructuring. However, Newcastle United's financial strength could trigger an intense bidding war."
