Eli Junior Kroupi, Julian Alvarez and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia summer targets for Arsenal - Paper Round

The Premier League champions are looking at a substantial transfer window as they prepare for the UEFA Champions League final.

The Mirror writes: "Mikel Arteta will reportedly be handed a substantial transfer war-chest by Arsenal this summer. The Gunners ended their 22-year wait to win the Premier League after Manchester City drew at Bournemouth on Tuesday.

"Eli Junior Kroupi, though, is among their targets. Bournemouth's latest star scored the goal that effectively burst City's title-winning bubble on Tuesday.

"The Cherries, who are well-placed to secure Champions League football, could demand around £80million for the 19-year-old. Arsenal will not have an uncontested path to signing the forward; however, Chelsea and Real Madrid are two other clubs said to be keeping close tabs on his situation.

"Julian Alvarez is understood to be another player Arteta has his eye on. 

"Paris Saint-Germain star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been described as a dream signing, though the Parisiens will not entertain any approaches. Sandro Tonali, Bradley Barcola, Nico Williams and Anthony Gordon are all named as potential targets."

Al Nassr could replace Jorge Jesus with Roberto Martinez. 

The Portugal head coach could be free to switch to the Saudi Arabian side in the summer after the upcoming World Cup.

The Sun explains: ”Cristiano Ronaldo could be reunited with Roberto Martinez at club level after finally winning a major trophy at Al Nassr.

”Jorge Jesus stepped down as boss of the Saudi side after Ronaldo, 41, scored twice in a 4-1 win over Damac to clinch the Saudi Pro League title.

”And it is claimed that Al Nassr will now target Portugal chief Martinez, who is expected to stand down after the World Cup - where Ronaldo is set to play in a record sixth finals.

”Victory secured top spot for Al Nassr, two points ahead of their city rivals Al Hilal.”

Napoli are the latest big European side being targeted by American business interests.

The Italian side could be going for around £2 billion, according to the Athletic, with Underdog Global Partners keen.

The website explains: ”An American consortium has made an offer in the region of €2 billion to acquire Napoli from the De Laurentiis family.

”Speaking to multiple sources familiar on the condition of anonymity, The Athletic understands Underdog Global Partners (UGP) has led negotiations on behalf of a group of investors as part of an ambitious plan to build on Aurelio De Laurentiis’ legacy.

”The Athletic understands Napoli is not for sale but this position has not discouraged UGP and its backers from persisting in negotiations, started six months ago, to takeover the club.”

Liverpool could be frustrated in their pursuit of RB Leipzig’s forward Yan Diomande, according to the Daily Star.

The teenager is in demand across Europe, but the Germans hope to keep hold of the player for now.

The paper relays: ”RB Leipzig are reportedly readying a new contract offer for Liverpool target Yan Diomande in an attempt to fend off interest in the winger.

”The 19-year-old caught the Reds' attention after transferring to Germany last summer in a deal valued at roughly £17million. The Athletic reports that he is a leading target for the Reds this summer.

”Sky Germany suggests Leipzig are reacting to Premier League interest by preparing a lucrative contract for Diomande. The young star is already contracted until 2030, but the Bundesliga outfit are eager to safeguard one of their most prized assets.”
