Julian Alvarez's agent speaks out on Barcelona speculation amid Arsenal links, Nico Paz to return to Real Madrid - Euro Transfer News

Recent claims about Alvarez's family planning for the striker's move to Barcelona are "nonsense", according to the striker's agent.

Alvarez has been a reported long-term target for Barca, while Arsenal are also said to be interested in signing the Atletico Madrid forward.

But in quotes reported by Mundo Deportivo, Alvarez's agent Fernando Hidalgo quashed recent speculation that his family had been looking for houses for him in Barcelona.

"1000% false," Hidalgo said. "No one in the family has been in Barcelona. The last time was for the match against Atletico, and they returned to Madrid the next day. Complete nonsense."

Alvarez also addressed his future in a pre-match press conference on Monday, ahead of his side's UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg against Arsenal on Wednesday - live on TNT Sports and HBO Max.

"I can’t keep coming out all the time to clarify or deny things," he said. "I don’t give importance to what’s said on social media because it snowballs, so I focus on what I can do on the pitch.

"I try not to give it much importance because something comes out every week. I don’t waste energy on that, I focus on these matches and on doing my best for the team."

Nico Paz will return to Real Madrid this summer, with the La Liga club to exercise his buy-back clause - according to AS Diario.

Per the Spanish outlet, Madrid and Como agreed the clause when Paz joined Cesc Fabregas' side in 2024, and the 15-time Champions League winners now feel it is the right time to bring the 21-year-old back.

The report reads: "The deadline to exercise that option is May 30th, but at Valdebebas they are already clear that the youth player's future lies in returning to the Madrid club, and that is why the club's management has already taken steps to ensure that all parties are aware of the decision.

"Como and Cesc Fabregas are already aware that the days of enjoying Nico Paz's play are coming to an end.

"The relationship between the coach and the Italian club's management is excellent. In fact, sporting directors from the team that has become a sensation in Italian football were recently in Madrid, in another attempt to sign a Real Madrid youth player in the next transfer window for the third summer in a row."

Paz has recorded 13 goals and eight assists in 38 appearances for Como in all competitions this season, helping his side up to fifth in Serie A.

Bayern Munich executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said the Bundesliga club will not entertain any offers for Michael Olise to leave the club in the summer.

The Frenchman's stunning campaign has seen many reported suitors linked with a summer pursuit, with the forward having played a crucial role in his side winning the Bundesliga title and reaching the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

In an interview with German outlet t-online, Rummenigge said: "For a player like him, no price would make us hesitate.

"He's an exceptional player. On the pitch, his style of play is almost magical. I appreciate his discretion, almost his shyness in front of the media. That's rare these days."

Olise has recorded 19 goals and 29 assists in 46 matches in all competitions, in his second full season at Bayern after leaving Crystal Palace.
