Liverpool are expected to make a mammoth second offer for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak in the coming days, but they are reluctant to include defender Joe Gomez in any deal for Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi. Elsewhere, Nicolas Jackson is upset with Chelsea over the collapse of his move to Bayern Munich, and Rasmus Hojlund is expected to sign for Napoli.

Liverpool set to make new Isak bid
Liverpool are expected to make a new offer for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, according to the Daily Mail.
A first offer of ÂŁ110 million had been rejected by Newcastle, who are keen to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Daily Mail reports: "It's indeed likely to be a busy few days in Merseyside as the transfer window comes to an end, with Liverpool also expected to submit a huge second bid to Newcastle for Alexander Isak.Â
"The Reds had an initial offer worth around ÂŁ110m rejected earlier this summer, with The Magpies keen to bring in replacements for the on-strike Swede before letting him go.Â
"They're now edging closer to signing the two strikers they desire, after Stuttgart's Nick Woltemade completed a ÂŁ65m move to St James' Park on Friday.Â
"Eddie Howe's side are also still working on deals for Brentford's Yoane Wissa and Wolves' Jorgen Strand Larsen which, if completed, could see Isak's sale sanctioned."
Liverpool will not use Gomez as Guehi makeweight
Liverpool are unwilling to loan Joe Gomez to Crystal Palace in order to sign defender Marc Guehi.
Palace are running out of options to strengthen their backline, and face losing Guehi as he is out of contract next summer.
The Mirror explains: "Liverpool have no intention of letting Joe Gomez leave on loan as part of any deal that sees them land Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace - insisting their defender is going nowhere.
"The transfer window has just days to run and The Reds are still looking to wrap up deals for Guehi and Alexander Isak. Liverpool have struggled defensively in the opening weeks of the season, furthering the calls for them to bolster their defensive line, and Guehi has been a prime target.
"The England centre-half has no intention of signing a new deal at Selhurst Park, which means The Eagles may have no choice but to sell. They want to receive a hefty fee though with The Reds loath to spend big on a player who is available for nothing."
Jackson 'furious' over Bayern move collapse
Nicolas Jackson is upset that he is being made to return to Chelsea when he was on the cusp of a move to Bayern Munich.
A hamstring injury to Liam Delap saw the Londoners tell Bayern that they would not complete the proposed deal.
The Evening Standard writes: "Chelsea have told Bayern Munich that they will not proceed with Nicolas Jackson’s loan move after Liam Delap suffered a hamstring injury against Fulham - leaving the striker furious.
"Jackson had landed in Munich on Saturday afternoon to undergo a medical with the reigning Bundesliga champions, but Standard Sport understands the decision not to move forward with the deal was made by Chelsea officials while he was on board a private jet to Germany with his agents.
"It is understood that Jackson is reluctant to come back to Chelsea and has been angered at being told that he must now return to London."
United may avoid Hojlund loss
The Manchester Evening News reports that if Manchester United get the full, planned fee for Rasmus Holjund from Napoli, they will avoid a loss on the striker according to Profit and Sustainability Rules.
The forward could cost the Serie A side ÂŁ43.2m if his loan move becomes permanent.
The paper states: "Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund is set to join Napoli on a season-long [loan], which includes an obligation to buy.
"The Manchester Evening News reported on Tuesday that Napoli were closing in on the loan signing of Hojlund.
"United will receive a €6 million (£5.2m) loan fee for Hojlund and €44m (£38m) next summer when the obligation, which depends on certain conditions, is triggered. United will avoid a loss on Hojlund under the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) if the obligation is met."
