Wednesday's Euro Transfer News leads on Mourinho's contract situation at Benfica. AS believes that he has a release clause - something the Spaniards have been made aware of.
The club exited the UEFA Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich earlier in the month, and Florentino Perez could return to an old colleague.
Mourinho is open to a return, and has maintained a solid relationship with Real’s president, despite an occasionally tempestuous time at the Bernabeu.
The outlet explains: "Many names are being linked with a move to Real Madrid in the near future. Players, yes - but right now the spotlight is on managers: coaches both out of work or looking for a change, especially with a potential vacancy coming up at the Bernabeu.
"There is one name that truly stands out - none other than Jose Mourinho.
”The Benfica boss has never hidden his admiration for the club - or his strong relationship with Perez. Although his departure from the LaLiga giants was somewhat turbulent, Mourinho has not ruled out a return.
”That is why his agent, Jorge Mendes, has floated the possibility to Madrid that his client could open up a new chapter at the club. Indeed, Los Blancos have already been informed of a release clause included in Mourinho’s contract.”

PSG turn attention to Monao midfielder Akliouche
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly turning their attention to Monaco midfielder Maghnes Akliouche.
The 24-year-old attacking player now has seven caps for the French national team, and is attracting attention from beyond the Ligue 1 champions.
Akliouche is considering a departure this summer, but is yet to make up his mind, according to Footmercato.
"The season isn't over yet, but preparations for the summer transfer window are in full swing," the website states. "For Akliouche, things have been accelerating lately, with interested clubs making their positions clearer.
"Akliouche is considered a good option by the Paris Saint-Germain management. While Luis Enrique has already made it clear that he doesn't want to overhaul the squad structure, he will still need to inject some fresh blood.
”However, they will still need to be wary of English competition, as many clubs have targeted Akliouche. And they have deep enough pockets.
"Akliouche is ready for a change of scenery, and will have to consider his preferred destination."
Milan plot Gila swoop
Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport gives an update on AC Milan’s planning for the summer transfer window.
The Serie A giants are waiting to be sure of Champions League qualification before they settle on their targets, but anticipate a move for Lazio defender Mario Gila.
With just a year left on his contract in Rome, he could be available for the equivalent of just £17.4 million.
"AC Milan is not giving up on Lazio's Mario Gila," the paper begins. "He's the top target of the summer transfer window, and progress is being made with the Spaniard's entourage. AC Milan are awaiting official Champions League qualification before launching a series of moves to strengthen their squad, and Gila's move is among the first deals on the table.
"The defender is popular with Massimiliano Allegri, and after four years in Italy, he has gained the necessary experience to join the Rossoneri squad.

”Gila was acquired by Igli Tare during his time in Rome as Lazio's sporting director, and now he's looking to bring him to Milan. The deal with Lazio is still being finalized financially, with estimates around €20 million plus bonuses, especially since the Spaniard only has one year left on his contract."
Dante to be joined by Ribery at Bayern
Former Bayern Munich defender Dante is continuing his exceptionally long career at Nice, but at 42 he is in his final year as a player.
German newspaper Bild believes that the Brazilian will take over as Bayern’s under-23 coach, and will be joined by his old team-mate Franck Ribery.
The paper reports: "What's exciting is who Dante might bring with him as assistant coach, none other than wing legend Franck Ribéry! The rumour has been circulating around the Bayern campus for some time and is gaining momentum. Ribery is said to be open to a comeback to his beloved club."
Ribery completed his UEFA A Licence last year, and is now taking his Pro Licence.
The publication added: "For Dante, the head coach job would be a quick change of scenery: The Brazilian is currently still under contract as a player for OGC Nice. The centre-back will end his playing career there after the current season. He already holds his coaching license, including the UEFA Pro License."
