Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe could be a secret weapon as they look to land Michael Olise from Bayern Munich. The France star could be the latest high-profile star to arrive at the Bernabeu as president Florentino Perez is keen on adding the forward to Jose Mourinho's squad.

According to German paper Bild, Olise, 24, wants out of the German side and hopes to move to Spain, reporting: ”the attacking midfielder is keen to move to Real Madrid this summer. Olise has already informed his team-mates in the French national team of this wish, but there has been no discussion with FC Bayern about it yet.”
Crucially, the paper notes that Olise has been in touch with his international colleague about a switch.
They add that, ”Olise shares a close friendship with the World Cup Golden Boot winner.
”This friendship is largely responsible for his desire to move to Madrid right now. As SPORT BILD has learned, Mbappe is a strong advocate for Olise's transfer. During the World Cup, the Real Madrid superstar actively courted his national teammate. Mbappe tried to illustrate to Olise how well the two could harmonize on the pitch at Real Madrid.”

There are negotiations set to start between Olise and his current club, with the former Crystal Palace star open to staying with the Bundesliga champions but he needs convincing.
The paper notes the club are now at a crossroad: ”Olise is now pushing for talks with Bayern's management. He wants to see how the club plans to remain competitive in the Champions League.
”Winning the title is his main motivation for the coming years. Whether or not Olise submits his transfer request to the club's bosses this summer could depend on the outcome of these upcoming talks with Bayern.”

Guardiola move to Italy faces setback
Fresh from yesterday’s story that Pep Guardiola is unlikely to take the Italy national team job despite €5 million (£4.3m) per year as the reported potential salary, Gazzetta believes that the situation is even worse.
Paolo Maldini and Leonardo were reportedly dispatched by the Italian football association for talks with Guardiola, who is currently out of work after leaving Manchester City following a decade in charge at the Etihad.
Guardiola did not dismiss the opportunity out of hand, and he was presented with ”a comprehensive project that would put Pep at the centre of everything, with the possibility of offering Italian football a new philosophy, starting with the youth teams."
However, amid reports elsewhere that Carlo Ancelotti is also being considered, Gazzetta adds: "It's a proposal that can't fail to appeal to a man as passionate about football as Guardiola, but - despite the technical director's and advisor's assurances that he'll be able to build a team that will allow him to spend as much time as possible at Barcelona - it worries him about the commitment required.”

To make matters worse for Rodri, the paper suggests that new Real manager Jose Mourinho is focused on retaining his own style of pragmatic, direct football which does not require the exceptional ball retention that the metronome is known for.
The paper concludes: ”The situation did Rodri no favours. As Diario AS has learned, Mourinho’s Madrid is currently moving toward a different footballing model, one that is less possession-oriented and less dependent on the kind of cerebral, controlling midfield presence Rodri provides.
”That said, the club continues to hold the Spain international in the highest regard.”
