Leandro Trossard completes Besiktas move as Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta reshapes Premier League title-winning squad

Belgium forward Leandro Trossard has joined Turkish side Besiktas on a three-year contract, bringing an end to his three-and-a-half-season spell with Arsenal. The 31-year-old has reportedly moved for a fee of €18 million (£15.3m), which will be paid in six equal instalments over three years.

Trossard was granted permission to travel to Istanbul on Tuesday after the two clubs reached an agreement over the transfer, completing a move that sees him leave the Premier League champions with two years remaining on his previous deal.
His Besiktas contract also includes the option of a further 12 months.
The forward arrived at Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 for an initial £21m plus add-ons, and he went on to make 174 appearances for The Gunners, scoring 36 goals and providing 34 assists.
A versatile and trusted figure under Mikel Arteta, Trossard played an important role in Arsenal's domestic title success last season.
He started the UEFA Champions League final defeat by Paris Saint-Germain, and featured prominently throughout the campaign, including 21 league starts.
The Belgian also remained a key international figure, scoring twice during Belgium's run to the World Cup quarter-finals, where they were eliminated by Spain.
Trossard now begins a new chapter in Turkey, joining a Besiktas side looking to strengthen its attacking options with an experienced player proven at the highest levels of European football.
According to Sky Sports, 17 of his 27 Premier League goals either put Arsenal ahead or drew them level in matches, with only Bukayo Saka scoring more goals of that significance for the club since Trossard's arrival.
His defining contribution came in May, when his dramatic late winner against West Ham proved a pivotal moment in Arsenal's march to the title.
He ended the campaign with eight goals and 11 assists in 50 appearances as Arsenal secured the Premier League crown for the first time in 22 years, and reached the Champions League final, where he set up Kai Havertz's opener before the Gunners were beaten on penalties by PSG in Budapest.
Trossard's departure is expected to form part of a wider reshaping of Arsenal's options on the left wing.

Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers reportedly remains the club's priority target, while Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola is also admired.
Club Brugge's Christos Tzolis has been monitored as another potential option, although the Greek international is expected to command a fee in the region of £34m, which would represent a Belgian Pro League record.
The Gunners also retain a long-standing interest in Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez, though any deal is expected to be difficult given competition from Barcelona and Real Madrid.
