Al Hilal have struck a £68 million agreement with West Ham United for Netherlands international Crysencio Summerville. The move sees the Saudi Pro League club beat off competition from Roma, who saw a lower bid turned down, as well as interest from Manchester United and Aston Villa.

With a long-term contract drawn up and personal terms in place, Summerville is scheduled to undergo formal medical assessments before finalising his departure to Saudi Arabia.
Following West Ham's recent relegation from the top flight, the winger was widely expected to depart the London Stadium, and Al Hilal's bid comfortably eclipsed the east London club's £50m valuation.
The Athletic reports: "Al Hilal have agreed a deal with West Ham United for the signing of winger Crysencio Summerville.
"The deal is worth a total package of approximately €80 million (£68.23m) and a medical is scheduled ahead of the proposed move to the Saudi Pro League club.
"A long-term contract for the Netherlands international is also ready, pending the final authorisations being completed.
"The Athletic reported earlier this summer it was expected to cost approximately £50m for West Ham to sanction his departure.
"His contract at the London Stadium had been due to run until 2029. Roma had made a bid worth €46 million (£39.12m; $56.21m) for Summerville this month.
"Manchester United had also enquired about his situation, while Aston Villa expressed an interest."
Scott rejects Bournemouth contract offer as clubs circle
Alex Scott has declined the latest contract extension presented to him by Bournemouth, despite entering the final two years of his agreement.
Sides including Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are monitoring the situation closely after having initial enquiries knocked back by Bournemouth for the 22-year-old midfielder.
Nevertheless, Bournemouth expect Scott to remain part of their squad for the upcoming campaign, whether he agrees to renewed terms or allows his contract to run down.
The Mirror reports: "Alex Scott has turned down a new Bournemouth deal as the likes of Manchester United circle - but the Cherries' stance is set to remain the same.
"The 22-year-old has entered the final two years of his deal but the Cherries don't want to sell the Englishman and have rejected enquiries for his signature.
"As well as the Red Devils, Chelsea and Arsenal have also been linked.
"Bournemouth expect Scott to remain their player next season regardless of whether he signs a new deal or continues to run down his contract."
Chelsea enter pursuit for Stones
Chelsea have placed 32-year-old central defender John Stones on their transfer radar following his release from Manchester City at the end of June.
Having played a key role for England during their recent 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign, the experienced defender Stones is available as a free agent.
While Chelsea had previously attempted to dismiss speculation linking them to Stones, he is now under serious consideration by the club as an experienced defensive option, alongside ongoing negotiations for Maxence Lacroix of Crystal Palace.
The Daily Mail reports: "Chelsea are considering a move for John Stones after his release by Manchester City following the expiry of his contract.
"The 32-year-old central defender is available on a free this summer, and is now enjoying downtime after representing England at the World Cup, including starting in their semi-final exit to Argentina.
"Chelsea’s interest comes a month after club sources tried to kill off rumours circulating within football circles that they were looking at Stones. However, he is now a legitimate candidate, it can be confirmed.
"Chelsea have benefited from having experienced heads in defence before, such as Thiago Silva.
"However, Arsenal have also been linked with Stones, who is reportedly seen as a possible short-term option if William Saliba’s injury proves serious.
"Chelsea have been in talks for Maxence Lacroix, with negotiations even held at ownership level in a meeting between Behdad Eghbali and Steve Parish at a hotel in New York."
Everton join competition for free agent Nyland
Everton have emerged as the latest Premier League side to explore a deal for 35-year-old Norwegian international goalkeeper Orjan Nyland.
The veteran shot-stopper is currently without a club after parting ways with Sevilla at the end of last season, and impressed during Norway's run to the World Cup quarter-finals in North America.
While Jordan Pickford remains the established first-choice at Everton, potential departures among the back-up options could create a vacancy at Everton, with Manchester City and Leeds United also keeping tabs on the player's availability.
The Sun reports: "Everton have joined the race for Norway keeper Orjan Nyland. The free agent, 35, was a smash hit for the World Cup quarter-finalists in North America.
"SunSport revealed fellow Prem sides Manchester City and Leeds are tracking Nyland, who is out of contract after leaving Sevilla at the end of last season.
"Veteran Nyland was outstanding in Norway‘s run to the last-eight where they lost to England 2-1 in extra-time.
2England No1 Jordan Pickford is the first-choice for Everton boss David Moyes.
"But back-up Mark Travers has been linked with a move away from the Hill Dickinson Stadium and that could free up space in the Toffees squad."
