Renee Slegers has revealed that Alessia Russo and Chloe Kelly are both fit for Arsenal's UEFA Women's Champions League semi-final.

The Gunners face eight-time champions Lyon on Saturday for a place in the final - live on TNT Sports and discovery+ - as they bid to become European champions for the first time since 2007.

After the pair picked up injuries during the international break with England, the Arsenal boss gave Gunners fans a major boost ahead of the blockbuster showdown.

"They will be fully available, so that's great," Slegers revealed about the pair on Friday.

"I think both players have been working really, really hard to get to this point together with the medical team.

"It's great, they are available for a lot of minutes tomorrow."

Arsenal staged an incredible comeback to overhaul Real Madrid in the quarter-finals.

Slegers' side was beaten 2-0 in the first leg, albeit away from home, and had to come from behind to advance.

But on a sensational night at Emirates Stadium, Russo was among the goals as the north Londoners fired themselves back in the tie, with the England striker netting twice in the second half, either side of a Mariona Caldentey strike.

Heading into what will be a tricky tie against Premiere Ligue leaders Lyon, Slegers also gave an update on goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar, who picked up a knock on international duty with the Netherlands.

"She is progressing really well," she said. "We will see when and where she will be available for us again.

"I can't share any more, but I'm just saying it's positive and the progression is going well."
