Mirra congratulates Maja on her three weeks at Roland-Garros and says she is a very tricky opponent.
The teenager jokes that she maybe shouldn’t thank Mary Pierce for being there as she beat her coach in the past (Conchita Martinez in the 2000 French Open final).
She adds that she was watching Roland-Garros on TV since she was very young, that it was a big dream for her to win this tournament and she can't believe she is holding this trophy right now.

The Pole congratulates Mirra saying that she is an incredible player, that she's so young and talented and that it is 'so annoying.'
Ex-WTA star Mary Pierce is on court and Maja says it is a 'pinch yourself' moment to be stood next to the former French Open champion.
She jokingly blames Mirra for being too good for it not being a better final and concludes by saying she will never forget these three weeks and that Paris will stay forever in her heart.

Among players starting their careers in the Open Era, only four have claimed more Women’s Singles main draw wins at Roland Garros in their first four appearances at the event than Mirra Andreeva (18).
Andreeva is the third youngest Women’s Singles Grand Slam champion in 2000s, older only than Maria Sharapova in Wimbledon 2004 and Emma Raducanu as the US Open 2021.
Andreeva is the fourth-youngest player in the Open Era to claim her maiden Women’s Singles title at Roland Garros, older only than Monica Seles (1990), Arantxa Sanchez Vicario (1989) and Steffi Graf (1987).

Teenager Mirra Andreeva wins her maiden Grand Slam title as she breaks to love on her first match point to end the fairytale run of qualifier Maja Chwalinska on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
The 19-year-old Russian becomes the youngest French Open champion since Monca Seles in 1992 with a straight-sets success in one hour and 22 minutes.
The eighth seed responded brilliantly to failing to serve it out as her backhand down the line again proved a key shot on her way to the biggest moment of her career.
It wasn’t to be for world number 114 Chwalinksa, but the 24-year-old can be proud of this incredible run that will move her up to 21st in the rankings come Monday.

The Russian drags her opponent over what feels like every grain of clay at deuce before popping a winner up the line.
There’s no way back from there as the Pole stretches a looper long to allow Mirra to consolidate after surviving a few jump scares.
