Victory for Zverev ended the sensational run of British wildcard Fery, who had stunned the tennis world to make the last four on home turf.
Zverev, having won his first Grand Slam title at Roland-Garros last month, looked wholly assured as he stormed through to Sunday's showpiece at SW19.
Asked afterwards whether it matters who he faces in the final, Zverev responded: "I hope I can play a junior! That would be great.
"Whether it's the defending champion or somebody who's won 48 times in Novak Djokovic.
"It's not going to be easy no matter who it is against, but I have to trust myself and believe that I can win, and that's what I'm going to do."
Until this year, Zverev had never got past the fourth round of Wimbledon, but the 29-year-old looks buoyed by finally ending his major drought, and afterwards reflected on his latest achievement.
"It's amazing, this Grand Slam has always been the one I've struggled with the most, and all of a sudden I'm in the final of Wimbledon," Zverev said.
"I'm incredibly happy, incredibly proud as well of the team, of everybody who was involved, but we've got one more match to go on Sunday and that's what the focus is on."

Zverev also paid tribute to his beaten opponent Fery, saying: "I have to credit to Arthur, he's an unbelievable player.
"He's going to be a senior citizen on our tour because I think he's going to play on this tour for 15+ years and is going to have great results.
"I think this was just the beginning of his career, and I really think that he's going to do amazing things in this sport."
Zverev completed his on-court interview by referencing the fervent British support that Fery received during the match, making a favourable comparison to other tournaments around the world.
"Something that is incredible here - I know 99.9% of the stadium was wanting Arthur to win, but it was still such an incredible atmosphere. It was such a fair crowd as well, I enjoyed every second of it.
"For me I think a lot of stadiums in the world, a lot of crowds in the world can take an example from this crowd, and I think for me it's one of the best crowds to play tennis in front of."
